The difference in using 11 mm or 13 mm guns with 7 mm shafts is huge. The area of the piston in the 13 mm model is bigger and it is more efective. So even if they have the same lenght the 13 mm gun with 7 mm will need much less pressure to have the same output that the other gun, or it is able to work at bigger pressure.
Of course in this example the loading effort is different too.
You dont get something for nothing though!:) Although the power potential of a 13mm piston is greater, so too is the loading effort, you cant get out more than you put in!

Steve,

One of the thing that I do as soon as I have a new pneumatic is to remove the safety for all of my guns, that way you never will have the same problem again. The other one is change the original shaft. There are some tricks to improve the performance of the gun without putting a Mamba but you need to open the gun and make a little work inside and change the oil.

Regarding the line releasing problem, I saw in the pictures that you do not use a reel, well put a little rubber bungee in the muzzle and then attach the mono there, this will mantain the rigth pressure in the line when the gun is loaded and you will not have more problems.

Do you have an idea of what pressure are inside your gun?

That will be really useful if you have plans to upgrade the gun with a Mamba kit, That way you will be able to compare the pereformance at the same pressure.

I understand that you will not change the bands guns for clear water, because you have excellent bandguns.
Who made this guns for you? jejejeje

Cheers

Dave,

Your are right, but I will pay that price any day.
I used my longer guns at 30 Bars and they shoot really nice.

Hi Ivan, I will be making some changes to the gun and the safety is high in the list, also, I will put a reel with a bunge on it soon.
I'm interested in the changes to the shaft and oil you mentioned could you give me more info?
The final modification I'm planning for the gun is the Mamba kit but this will have to wait until the fall.
The gun came filled to 25 bar from the factory and I pumped it 30 more times before I used it.
Like I said the gun just arrived and the weather was right so I jumped in with it, normally I would have preferred to take some target practice in a pool first but not bad for first time out.
Regarding my band guns, thanks for the compliment and I can make one for you if you like.

Steve

PS could you sen me the loading video on the Mamba?

Harry,

Thanks for uploading the video.
The guy in the video is Shane Shacaluga from Giblartar, and an active member of this Forum too.

Steve,

Send me an email and I will send you some information.
You must speak greek but do you read Italian?

If you have plans to put a Mamba let me know I am the representative here in USA and I can give you some tips.

Thanks for the offer I saw several of your guns they really look nice and some guys are selling their Wongs to keep only your guns. That's excelent.

Cheers

Those poseidon sub guns are very nice. I've looked at the reef models - with the alexander handle they would be very cool. What I'd like to see is a very low profile sort of combination euro/mid-handle - designed for a light shaft and with a low profile - bringing the mid-handle closer to the line of thrust :)

Thanks again for the kind words, I build guns to suit a customers needs.
I not stuck on a particular style or configuration, if you have something specific in mind send me sketch and I'll see what I can do.
I like the low profile light shaft combination myself here is a gun I built to use in the Aegean sea this summer. It's 1 1/4'' or about 30mm in hight and varies in width.
