FreeDiving Alpha Corporation .: Wetsuits for freediving sale :. • FreeDiving •

Well, maybe I should leave the "stay away" part up to You guys, let me just say few words about my experience with this company. I just have to say that many of my emails in my spam folder from Nigerian scammers sound more professional than response I got from AlphaDeep.

So my Heiwa ripped again and I was in need of a new wetsuit, I had Elios before so I decided to try AlphaDeep this time. On Jul 8 I ordered Daiwabo wetsuit and after payment I got no email, no confirmation. After dealing with Elios I figured this must be the way things work in Italy and I decided to wait.

10 days later however I decided to check the status of my order hoping to receive it before my approaching dive trip. No answer for two days so I email them again:

"Hello,

I am just checking status of my order and if You received my payment.
if my wetsuit is in making what is approximate date I can expect it?"

Next day I get this answer:

"Dear Mr Piro

Thank you for your e-mail.

Unfortunately we don't accept orders in this period.
The next time please before order inform that.

Thank you for your attention.
Best regards

> being made?

In other words my payment was accepted but not my order

So I am thinking that's fine, just refund my payment and we're good:

"And what about my payment? I paid 122 Euro"

But next day I receive this message:

"Dear Mr Piro

We bocked your order and will be shipped in 40/45 days.
I will come back with the track number.

Thank you again
Best regards

Thinking of Elios can make me the same suit for 10 Euro more in 10 days I write to them:

"This is too late for me, I am going diving this month. Please cancel
> my order and refund my payment"

and right away I receive this shocking news:

"Dear Mr Piro

Thank you for your e-mail.
We noted that you cancel the order and don't want any more the pants.

1)Unfortunately it's not possible to give you the money back, because
are passed more than 10 days and we give as you know 2 days to
modificate the order or cancel the order.once you pay you accept our
terms and conditions.

2)It's not possible to refound you also because it's a custom product.
art 5
Secondo quanto disposto dall'art. 5 comma 2 lett c) del D.lgs il
diritto di recesso non trova applicazione rispetto ai "beni
confezionati su misura o chiaramente personalizzati o che, per loro
natura, non possono essere rispediti o rischiano di deteriorarsi o
alterarsi rapidamente".

In any case we will come in your direction giving a partial refound of
116 euro
NOTE:COMMISSION PAYPAL - 5 euro
Manufacture and material - 60 euro
_______________________________________________________________________________
116 euro - 65 euro = 51 euro.
If you agree write in the next email "I Accept".

Please the next time inform about that for us it's very important.

Thank you again for your attention.
Best regards

This is obviously insane so in my response I let them know:

"51Euro refund? This is insane and absolutely unacceptable, I DO NOT ACCEPT. Send me full refund or I open dispute with PayPal"

So then I am asked of my account:

"Dear Mr.Pioro

Your order has been cancelled.
Cancelling order is irrevocable.

Nex time before you do an order or cancel a order you must be sure to doit.

About the e-mail referred that we don't accept orders was referred to
new orders.
All the paid orders go in production.

So in this case we will refoud you the difference.
Let us know your account.

Thank you again for your attention.
Best regards

I simply respond:

"I paid with PayPal"

It was last email from them dated Jul 25, almost two weeks ago. Basically no wetsuit, no $$$.
I am working with PayPal for a full refund right now.
Just want to warn all potential buyers from this company, for few extra Euro it's just safer to stick with proven Elios or other brands which I ended up doing anyway (bought Orca)...

Great business model! I love the rational: 60 euros that couldn't be refunded for 'manufacture and materials (even though it would be shipped 45 days later so I am pretty sure nothing was done) and the 5 euros paypal fee (paypal fees are refunded when you do a paypal refund)

Chances are I wouldn't have... but now I definitely won't.
Thanks for the warning.

Too bad, nice looking suits.

How did you find something for 122 Euros? Every suit I looked at is much higher.

David

Thank you for sharing this with us! I was seriously considering buying one as they look great on the website but I have noticed it is taking them forever to get things up to date with pricing and information about all the various suits they have and have been somewhat hesitant for this reason and now you confirm what I was fearing....thank you!!!

The suits they are offer do look pretty nice though. Thanks for the info.

Looks like it was just for the trousers..

Sorry for delay, I was on holiday

Yes, the 122E was for high waist pants only since I have fairly new Yamamoto jacket. I wanted to try this Daiwabo neoprene, unfortunately it's not going to happen this time.

I agree the suits look great on the website, they have nice designs and that's what I fell for.
Unfortunately PayPal gave up on me, they told me it's because it's custom product they can't get me refund and they redirected me to MasterCard.

Additionally AlphaDeep finally sent me an email, though not the one I was waiting for. They informed me about legal action taken against me for this thread, well for publication of private e-mails to be exact

You cannot get in trouble for posting private emails.

Thanks for posting this. That is the beauty of the internet. People cannot get away with things like they used to.

DeeperBlue.com has received advice from AlphaDeep that they are intending to start legal action against us as well. I'll be monitoring the situation.

It seems to me they should be rather wary of anything legal. I dare say if they WERE foolish enough to get this in front of a court they'd find their busniness in a fair bit of strife when things were looked at.

Talk about digging themselves a deeper hole...

I was thinking exactly the same - it really amazes me how companies think sometimes.

You would have thought that since this was posted in a negative light about them, they would have taken the opportunity to turn this into positive, give up the measly 60 euros and even offer a discount on future order or something.

Instead threat of legal action (always works wonders with dissatisfied customers!).

Anyway I'm sure there are two sides to every dispute but there comes a time that you need to be smart and understand what's best for your business, even if you weren't 100% wrong in the first place!

it doesn't say anywhere in their website that you should contact them before placing the order, and i don't see anywhere that they are not accepting orders in this period, so i don't see how you should assume that you were supposed to do that.

and this is what i found in their website about the shipping time and refund:

"Delivery time for items in stock is 12/24 hours, for items that must be sorted into their farms, the processing time is usually within the range of time: 3 to 10 days; times higher will be promptly reported.
- When your order is already sent by courier, we are no longer able to cancel the order if the customer refuses the package, will not be entitled to any refund. --"

so they clearly are wrong. i dont get what their think they are suing you for!

good thing is that with their attitude soon they'll be out of the market.
maybe they should just stick to make suits (which look very cool), and let someone more competent to do the selling for them

wish you luck!

linda

hide your kids, hide your wife and hide your husband
cuz they're suing errbody out here

I will post an article reporting their behavior on Apnea.cz, spreading it a bit more in the community and warning others. Also posting the information to other freediving, diving, and spearfishing forums may preventing other people getting on the same situation too. And it will teach them that bringing legal actions against deserved critics is not the way to go.
