Anyone build a Suunto D3 interface?

Just wondering if anyone has built a D3 interface who's actually got it to work?

I've built the one on Roli's website but have yet to get it to work.

I've been thinking about building one. If you figure out what the problem is let me know. Of course I had to send my mosquito in for repairs so I suspect I won't be needing a computer interface for a while

got it working

Just to let you know that I got my homebuilt interface to work.

If you can't find a proper set of contact pins, use the armature contacts off of a small ice cube type relay as they just happen to have the right spacing and are very reliable.

cool...would this one work with the Stinger too?

if so, do you know witch connection goes to the housing and witch goes to the little "pad"?

Yes, I believe it will work for the Stinger. I would imagine that the housing would be common and the pad would be the data I/O, but don't quote me on that. During the testing of the interface, I reversed the connections on several occassions and did not do any harm to the watch, but If you don't want to take a chance, you'll have to inquire around.

I've made quite a few of them.

Mine worked fine but I've been having difficulty lately - either low batteries or duff connections. Still haven't figured out which. A bit concerned to change the battery in case it loses data.

Yep - the stinger housing is the gound/common.

it doesnt look at all complicated, I expected there to be a lot more stuff to make it work...

...I dont suppose you know of any place on the internet from where I can download whatever software is needed to run it ?
