I am new at freediving and i have some questions about apnea tables. For the record, I am very fit, I workout every day and was on varsity track as a freshman. My question is, how many apnea tables should i do each day? At the moment I am doing 2-4 a day, half co2 and half o2. For my co2 table I hold 105 seconds and rest from 70 seconds and reduce by 10 each round. For my o2 table my max hold is 120 seconds and i rest for 70 seconds. So how many should i do each day, and should i take days off?
Some other info: I also apnea walk most days, I attempt a max breath hold every weak and I adjust my tables if I get a new record, most of my training is dry, I don't train one day a week.
Other questions: should I adjust my tables?

-Thanks,
Justin

2-4 tables/day sounds a lot to me. I would definitely lose my will to do them if I train so hard but looks like you are very determined.

I can tell you what I do (other more advanced freedivers will surely give you more beneficial answers):

2-3 tables of CO2 a week

1-2 tables of O2 a week.

Never more than 4 tables a week. I feel like 4/week is optimal for me.

As far as I understand (I'm still a newbie) CO2 tables might be more beneficial on the beginning so perhaps focus on them.

quantity of tables is not important and is of no real value, how hard u push the table u are doing is what matters one a day is fine o2 one day co2 the next u should be always adjusting, once u can do a table it is no longer of any value u should always be working on a table that is just out of reach and move on again once u can do it
