Beginner full kit advice

Twelve years ago i fixed my wet suit at rear of neck area with storm sure i used a patch to seal the tear ! i had been sold a suit that was tight .If your situation does not improve you could attempt with a patch or few to modify the neck are then use kling film around a balloon filled with air in side neck area then apply patches. Maybe a good idea if done correctly a economic solution.Perhaps your diving buddy could help

i have one of their 7mm suits for pacific northwest which sounds like similar water temp.

@Johny Depth That's a pretty awesome idea. I've not even been able to dive once since my course cuz of lockdown and other commitments so I don't know if it will be necessary yet. Will post back if it is.
@rieses I was mainly going by whatever popped up through Google. I did notice some of their gear. I got the impression Cressi is very entry-level friendly. I'm sure I'll branch out to other brands once I've got a feel for what I need. Thanks for the suggestion!

My for mind forgot to add that to hold the patches in place,use some elastic bands on a rounded structure .,Beauchat semi translusant glue has a longer shelf life than other brand names.always look at glues date for in shops they dont control every product.on too ocassions i have purchased glue that was hardend prior to use ,.A bit alike purchasing mastic or tubed silicone
