Some members, however, have been missing out by falling foul of the rules. Make sure you take pictures and most importantly weigh your catch then with a little luck and some skill you too could join the ranks of the famous Hall of Fame DB spearo's.

Hi all
ordered a Sevlor Dive Hunter and it arrived yesterday Sevylor Inflatable Dive Hunter SDB120 Single - OutdoorStuff.eu - Your outdoor equipment specialist based in the UK.
I never see it before directly (only in the pictures) and after inflate it I was amazed it looks a well done product and strong well wort the money that I spend for it and for that I think is cheap if compared with DP shop prices (almost half price) have a look at link above guys and let me know what do you think.Now I looking forward to try it out and Sunday I will give it a go.:inlove.

I've got one waiting in the courier depot in Poole for me to pick up tomorrow morning.

Had to order from Robin Hood sports though, as I had trouble with the Outdoor Stuff website.

Eager to get my hands on it and start adapting it to my needs.

Also, I've just had some collapsible lobster pots arrive through the post, so I'll be attaching them to my dive hunter in the near future and placing them around strategic locations in the local area!

I've ordered my Dive Hunter I think a month ago to outdoor stuff paid for it and after two or three days they send me an email saying that it was out of stock and asked me if I would fancy something different but similar that was a bit cheaper.I declined asking my money back.So they told me that they would give me my money back and waited for a couple of weeks.Last week they send to me a new email saying that the Dive Hunter was in stock again so they asked me if I still want the money back or the Dive Hunter,so I said that I certainly want the Dive Hunter of course but if it want take too long and finally got it after a week. I've to say when you'll see it you will forget all the trouble you been through mate

Picked it up from the courier company this morning. Cancelled all my other plans and have been spending the day rigging it. Got a bit more tweaking to go, but will soon be ready to go in the water (if I hadn't cut my hand).

What are you doing about your flag? I was thinking of getting the end of an old fishing rod, about the width of a pencil, maybe 1 meter long, and attching a flag to the end of that - there is a thin compartment, on the left hand side of the board, near the window, that it fits in perfectly.

You can also get small anchors for these things too.

I've already attached carrying straps.

I've already setup the flag,I bought an inespensive plastic pipe and fixed an old flag that long time ago I was goin to throw away,the pipe was bit too small to allow the piece of the flag in but I just warmed it with a burner and fixed it in.I also paint the pipe black as the dive hunter. The anchor is my main problem where to get it?Do you know any shop ? At moment I've attached some leads from the belt as an anchor.Tomorrow I will test it for the first time and I'm sure you'll do the same

Where did you get your anchor from mate?

Sorry but won't be in the water at least until next weekend with this stab wound!

I think I've seen something that looks like an anchor on Dave Bailey's Picasso website - but I'll wait untill I've seen yours before making any decisions.

The anchor Rick has, and the one that Gaz & Tony have found on seperate websites is the same one -suipplied by picasso. I had one a few years ago - it is retractable and very good - until you loose it...

Yeah, it looks easy to loose to the bottom.

I imagining that your homemade wire version bends loose from the bottom when it is wedged, and can then be re-shaped again afterwards Paul - does that sound about right? You gonna show us a picture? (PM it if you are worried someone might take a patent out on it rofl).

Yeh - I just looked at my "home made one" and remembered that I had also lost that one and now have a semi home made one that a senior member of the original Wessex club got made at work (Tony Webber). Its like the picasso one but u can't close it up. Welded stainless & priceless - Only hope I don't go and loose this one now :duh

By the way - I have lost my mask & snorkell at Durlstone last Tuesday - Probably left it by the camp fire - so if anyone is passing...

thanks for the links,I've got already one that is similar which I found in a second hand shop but is not foldable hope it works anyway it seems has a small entrance but I will be happy to try it first before to buy another one mate.i will be happy to go and try it togheter I already have a spot that could be very very good.

PM me the spot mate. I've got a few in mind myself. Needs to be somewhere with weak tides though, as these traps look as though they might easily be swept away.

I'm probably gonna atach a note to mine, warning other spearos that the trap isn't abandoned, but will be picked up by diver later that day.
