I would really like to go but I am in the PFI course right now and I don't want to miss any classes. Do you guys think a day trip would be woth it? I.

If you've never dived up here, then you will be blown away!
The people you'll meet will also restore your faith in humanity. Seriously
Peace,
Erik Y.

Hey guys, little update to say the vessel is grounded in Vancouver... not literally. Sorry about that. I really wished I could arrange it, but many things came up the last while and time is not permitting.

That being said, I will see you all there. Anybody need a ride from Vancouver/Victoria/Nanaimo or any other place in between?

Cheers and see you soon.

dang! this trip sounds super fun, but i couldn't come maybe sometime you guys could think about going to crater lake! it's sooo pure water and it's only a 1 hour hike :-D i've asked the forest people or whatever, lol.. and they were like ya.. not too many people come up there for divin' but you can, as long as you do not bring any toxens intot he water.. like moter boats, trash, ect! maybe we could even camp out there? lol, it'd be spoooky!

little off topic, so sorry

Well, interesting turn of events... Last night my friend had her car stolen. My extra mask, brand new dive knife and snorkel, monofin, and bi-fins were in the car. I do not know if I will be able to find the correct size footpockets locally over the next few days. If anybody has an extra pair of footpockets and fins that fit a size 46-48/12-13, it would be helpful if you can bring them.

Thanks for any assistance.

Oh my gosh, Tyler! I sincerely hope the police find the car, everything intact!

..Gabe's feet are too small.. I really hope you can find some!

Tyler,

I'll bring my mono and bi-fins so we can switch out if no one has extra gear. I have an extra Sphera you can use, it's a little scratched up. No extra snorkel, though.

Do you still have your suit?

Pete

I have a brand spanking new Black/Black Sphera you are free to use.

my footpockets are 46/48. I will be scuba diving a few of the days and won't need them, feel free to use them, and anythign else I have that will fit.

shitty deal. been there before. good luck.

Tyler,

I have an oceanmaster snorkel and another less bulky snorkel. I also have several masks, but only one sphera.

Interestingly, ever since my Stinger (& Steph's D3) were stolen when my car was broken into, I ALWAYS remove my dive gear from my car and never leave it in there, due to the theft risk.

For those coming on this trip, I will be bringing 6 production F1's for people to try out. They are all for sale, and if you are able to pay cash on the spot you will receive a large discount. PM me for more details.

Plan on cool, wet weather. Distant forecast has rain and high 50's F (15 C or so).

Lee

Thanks for all the feedback folks! It sounds like there will be plenty of options to share... may be my best opportunity ever to do fin comparisons!

Thanks again.

My sporas are only 44-46..

Anyone wanting to ride up from Vancouver on the 18th - we'll have room.

I've barely even been diving in salt water!!!

Don't forget your weight differential. Make sure you have a variety of weights to match up to the salinity of the water. It seems to make a big difference for me when I go between fresh and salt.

I'm a little overweighted right now - for shallow diving. I expect I'll probably be fine there since I'll likely be going a bit deeper. Bringing a few extra in any case.
