A bit warmer than that I think Col, very often warmer in the water than the air at this time of year. The sea can get to 20 but but average summer would be 16 -17. 5mm suit is what virtually all UK spearos use. However because we have such huge tidal movement it is easy for swimmers to find much warmer water when the tide comes in over the warm sand.
So, you go from Hawaii to NE England in the Winter

There is good rod fishing to be had on the Yorkshire coast. I had planned to try spearing there but my contact there have just moved closer to us - so probably won't happen now. I would expect it to be colder (less Gulf Stream warming - although it should be sheltered from SW prevailing winds) and possibly murkier(?). I believe the bass move south as it starts getting colder -- so winter is probably not the best time to target them in Yorkshire! I use a 5mm suit year round here -- toasty warm, I leave the socks off in the Summer.
Might be better to walk on the Moors (often snow covered in winter) & find a nice pub. Save the spearing for Hawaii?!
I would have thought Yorkshire is as bad as linconshire being in the sandy, shallow part of the North sea, almost always 0 vis. Good for winter cod on the rod tho.

I prefer 100% this option of camo than painting and I would like to add life and a better look to my old Arbalete Champion since the original paint has more scratches than dives, since I live in Tijuana Mexico, my best and only option is to buy in USA, did you get it from a reseller or what do yo sugest me to do in order to contact them directly by e-mail

I guess I just got tested.
In a fund raising raffle on Spearfishing Planet, my name was drawn for the second place prize, a free camo point job on my gun.
I thought about having to strip the hardware off of the gun, put it in a tube, and mail it across the country, and it wasn't worth it to me, even through the guy who does the nice paint jobs was going to handle the postage.
Its too bad that it wasn't won by someone who cared about it.

Sorry to have bored you and taken up your time.
You didn't need to know it at all, but I guess it said it because I had earlier mentioned that I didn't think camo mattered, so I was just proving that it didn't matter even if it was free.

There didn't happen to be a current thread on camo spearguns on Spearboard, so the fact that I had turned down a camo paintjob was not timely there.

In the last few hours, I've been puzzling about the Spearboard comment. It seemed typically sarcastic, but I just couldn't understand where is it was coming from.
Then I thought of a possibility. A bit earlier, someone had lamented the lack of Southern California information and asked that a Newport to San Diego forum be created. Since there are very few people on this list posting about Southern Calfornia diving, it didn't seem very practical to expect that a Newport to San Diego forum be established, so I listed a url for the Southern California forum of Spearboard.
I'm guessing that referencing another board was considered bad form, so I'm going to respond on the assumption that this was indeed what prompted your out-of-left field Spearboard comment.
I frequent four different boards, and each has its strengths and weaknesses in term of coverage. I'm not much into rivalry for market share among those boards, so I post to each of them when the spirit moves me.
This board has its strengths, but finding out what happened here on opening night of lobster season last weekend is not among them. You are not likely to hear how the yellowtail are running at San Clemente Island or Catalina Island either. On this board, you can find out more about diving in the Red Sea than about diving in SoCal. The few times I've posted local trip reports on this board, they didn't seem to be met with much interest, so I decided to post them where they might be of value to the readers. No hard feelings- I don't expect people living in the UK or around the Red Sea to really care about SoCal reports, but I know that people living in SoCal do care.
So when this guy expressed interest in getting more info on SoCal diving, I didn't think he could get it here, so I gave him a place to find it. I bet there are well over 100 posts per day in the CA forum of Spearboard.
On the other hand, this board has loads of posts about pure freediving, and I have no interest in all in that subject. But when someone asks a freediving question on Spearboard (where the emphasis is on SPEARING), I, along with others, often refer them to this board as a place to get better information. Its not a matter of playing favorites, but just trying to assist people in finding the best place to get their questions answered.
So, with that explanation of my guess at the motivation for the Spearboard comment, and with that explanation of my rationale for posting as I do, here is the question.
Are we supposed to avoid mentioning the competion? Since you are a TEAM LEADER I don't want to get myself into trouble with management. I can always confine my mention of other boards to PMs if that is what is required of us.

Yes, well the shared sarcasm being typical aside,:hmm DeeperBlue has zero problem mentioning any of the other sites, their members or their content. I know Spearboard and others generally have the same feelings, that their chosen sites, you with Spearboard for example, cover the bases most locally and effectively. I belong to them all as well and they are tools, much like some of the members. rofl
I made my initial post wondering why it's so vital to hear that you won a raffle and decided not to honor the prize. Yeah, I know it's a royal pain in the ass to pull my Wongs, (and my Alexander's and Anderson's) apart just o smear some paint on them, and I'd not do it either, especially to my two Prodonovich's. And really that's enough... "Dear reader, I don't subscribe to the camo thing and part of the reason is the disassembly/reassembly parocesses..." At that point, your part is made clear w/o going "nah-nah... I won a contest and still didn't get it done." That's all.
And I hope the #2 guy was able to benefit if you turned it down, as maybe he likes refitting triggers and worrying about the barrel getting dinged in the gun bucket.
