Crap on the south. Went to recce a bit of sheltered coast for shells today. Looked really poor and choppy -1cm vis. Bonus was finding some Wood Blewit mushrooms that have just gone into a Beef Bourgignon. Some consolation at least!

Hi a dive yesterday (South East coast.) viz 3-4m. Wind as cold as the water which wasn't too bad. No fish though, save for a lone wrasse. That's definitely it me for me folks.

I am impressed there are people still getting in or trying to even though the conditions have been crap. It is just not happening for me with how busy things have been. At least the surf has been good.

Good work fella's

Amen to that mate.....college has got me run ragged. Had three assignments to hand in today and my son was born on Thursday but got sent back to hospital due to jaundice (he was born too qiuck) and only came home today. I could do with an extra 10 hours in the day. It's all good though, like you i've managed to squeek a few surfs in and this calm weather had me thinking about one last dive but.....long period swell arrives tomorrow.....maybe not!

Congratulations on your son being born Badlander. All the best of luck to him in his life.

I thought I was alone on the mushrooms. blewits are a great mushroom along with my favourites, honey fungus! pity about the weather lads but it seems to be getting better over this way. vis seems to be clearing too!

Wow - missed that bit!! Congratulations mate, glad he is home with you now.

Congratulations to you and your family. I have been lucky in that i finished for christmas last week but my father is in hospital so i have been spending quite a lot of time there inbetween work. Managed a few days surf on the big days which was good. Not too many people in. I also have 3 assignments to do to be handed in between jan feb. Best be cracking on with it.

Badlander congratulations on your new family member, well done and how long before the little-un gets his first long board and wetsuit?

Yes, congrats from me too. Did I miss a mention of a name?

Remember kids are for life not just for Christmas :inlove. Well I'm still paying for mine anyway :rcard.

Dave.

"South East Coast" are you able to be a bit more specific Googly? I might be heading towards Cornwall soon, and 3-4m viz sounds tempting to me.

Apart from that, congratulations Badlander!

Stoked for you mate :friday:friday CONGRATS

Yes well done buddy. I think sometimes people forget how hard child birth is for us men. I don't say much about it to my wife but I think they have the easy job in all of this

Cheers guys, the little guy is called Taylor Kai Propert-Lewis, he was 8lb 12oz and was super quick. we got to hospital about 2:30pm and he was born about 4:30pm and home by about 8:00pm. Typical though he got readmitted the following day for three days with jaundice brought on by the fast exit.
Big sis is stoked although i think she's only just realising the reality of it all!
Hoping to get him in the sea as soon as poss podge! If he's as boyish as my daughter is girly then it'll be a breeze. Bit odd with now i don't drink anymore not being able to wet the babies head!
End of the week looks possible for a dive........
