Bit odd with now i don't drink anymore not being able to wet the babies head!

I can help you out there mate, consider a glass raised for young Taylor.:friday
And 8lb 12oz bloody good sized specimen as well.:)

Thanks for all you kind words guys, it's things like that that really set this forum aside as a genuine community of good spirited individuals.

Merry Christmas!

Finally managed to get in at Maenporth this afternoon! Vis was ok, around 3 - 4 m at a guess. Didn't see any fish whatsoever though! Plenty of starfish and a few crabs lurking in the cracks. Came home with 5 golf balls though haha.

It was a bit on the chilly side, getting changed in the car park after was by far the worst, the thermometer on the car said it was a toasty 0 degrees! Think I may have to bodge some sort of waterproof seat covers for next time!

We had a great time though regardless of the weather, I missed the sea way more than I thought while i've been away at uni, so it was good just to get wet again!

Oh and congratulations Badlander, (If a little late!)

Tom

5 golf balls... thats all the encouragement I needed rofl!
Rep for getting in on what must have been the coldest day so far this year!

Got in for a dive today, the vis was not great but better than last time, the only living things i saw were one jelly fish , 2 scuba divers and some star fish.

And it was freezing!

Jelly and Star fish starter, followed by slow Roast Scuba Diver, well it is winter and you’ve got to make the most of what’s there.:blackeye

Well done for getting in Padaxes.

Merry christmas! I was hoping for a festive dive but the wind has chopped it all up :( Beer it is then!

Merry Christmas everyone! Has anyone had a Christmas dip?

"South East Coast" are you able to be a bit more specific Googly? I might be heading towards Cornwall soon, and 3-4m viz sounds tempting to me.

Missed your post there Gaz. Talland Bay is my most common - and sheltered - spot, although if there is a swell then the lee of Looe Island is a nice dive though can be busy with traffic at the weekends. Fish wise, I haven't found anywhere consistently good yet, so must try and explore a bit next year. Would be good to dive with some of you fellas sometime. If anyone's planning a dive along the SE coast next year, PM me. I get out when time off from work and kids coincides with the right conditions - not often enough!

Seasons greetings to all out there.

No problem mate. My parents live in the Cawsands area and I'm down there quite a lot (just got back today actually - surfing this time though, as spearing was out of the question), so if you're around next season I'd be happy to hook up as I know a few spots around there myself (and there's a few more that I want to explore, when I get my boat in the water).

Speak later,

Gaz
