Nice fishing there sir, well done!

Anyone been in on the south coast recently and able to share a vis report? I'm thinking of getting in this Thursday - thanks

The viz around Plymouth is pretty brown at the moment, as it Torbay/Paignton. It might be clearer away from the mouth of any large river, but the coast has been pretty battered the past few days. I'm leaving it at least a week or so before trying again.

Quick dip after work last night. 3 bass seen, two too small and fleeing and one donkey that I couldn't see properly through the fresh water lens, really frustrating miss :vangry. Considering looking at a smaller and pneumatic gun for night diving. Any tips on how to shoot at close range at night over hard bedrock?! I'm learning its a different ball game to fish in midwater. I guess you need to get down on their level rather than trying to shoot from above but at night the fish are often so close to you its hard to do this without spooking them.

So, consolation flounder on the way back in. The water was nice and warm but I almost lost both my feet to frostbite in the 15 minutes it took me to gut my fish, walk back to the car and get changed. I couldn't feel the peddles of my car to get out of the car park and almost crashed into a wall. Otherwise, awesome dive! The brown crabs were out in force and some nice squid and bioluminenscence under a huge rising moon. Loved it!

Good luck to all getting in at the weekend.

Done a few night dives, but not recently, but I do know how cold it gets. I am considering buying a waterproof seat cover and driving back in the suit, after I have flushed the suit with fresh warm/hot water.
I can't really comment on pneumatics.

Just been chatting to a mate who's in touch with the comercial fishermen out of Mevagissey, recons they're making a killing on inshore bass. Just when I'd hung up my suit for the winter....................:head

Just found this.
