To my mind you shoot fish in the head. Simple. It kills them quickly, gives a good hold for the spear and does not do any damage to the meat. If you cant hit the head and make a clean kill the fish goes free.

No, i know how to kill a fish with my knife. I was just curious about your claim (see above quote). I am always willing to learn new techiques if it kills the fish quicker. Would be great to always shoot right thru the brain to finish the fish in one swift move! I thought that since you had something to do with teaching spearfishing you were open to sharing your techniques.:)

Mr. G !!! So you do know me then!! Who has been squeeling then???

I will only quote the forum when you give me sometime juicy to get my teeth into again. Working on something but still too relaxed from my dive today. It looked shite and no fish around untill a bass swam right into me while i was watching him from under the kelp. Needless to say he didn't get very far!

I think i need to lay down. My belly is fullzzz

Oh, and sorry to all of those who given good relies to me and didn't get a reputation rating. I am one of those guys who jumps in feet first without checking. I always wondered what those little green squares were! I have read the FAQ now and it all makes sense!

Gutshot:eek:

Is that a saucer that fish is on? Must have taken ages on Photoshop to size everything else down! :t Nice one Mr G. :)

Howard.. You have made me think about the good ol days at Dolphin now, no safety gear, no instruction, Just 2 days of doing what the hell you wanted, sitting on the bottom and trying to pull the plates up and get the D3 in deeper than everybody else, at least one samba per session.. Ahh..

Its all a bit tame now. Still fun but not as spiritual.

The boy just says what he see's..rofl This is the shit you have to put up with to get the little green things!

Aye, it always looks greener on the other side!!:friday

The shot doesn't look to great till you see the other side and see that he was shot from down below. I was layed up in a gully under the kelp line shooting up thru the kelp as he started to go overhead. Bad shot, good shot,.....either way he came home with me:t

Gutshot (Mr G to you lot!!)

dont suppose you guys know how i can make a personal gallery here on DB do you? Just got all of my pictures from over the summer and wanted to put them up here. They were all taken on a camera phone so poor quality, but i wanted to show people my pb mullet.

Help would be great.

I have not tried on here but http://photobucket.com/ is a good place to store photo's on line and it makes it easy to link to should you want to post them on internet forums.
