OK that's cool, I am just thinking - because there are quite a few guys leaving on the 2145 boat & there is a one hour check in time - we might have to slightly alter the weigh in time on Sundays comp.
You will have fun driving mate, we have a filter in turn system & a 35 mph max limit but a lot of roads are 15-25mph.
Anyway I will be waiting at the docks to show you the way to my base camp...

Hi Stephen,
I have registered I think but am a bit of a Luddite. My wife and I are coming for the whole thing, if I need to re register please let me know
Best

Simon,

We've got your registration - although you haven't said which activities you'd like to be involved in. Also please let register your wife if she'll be coming along to any of the activities.

Friday 3rd - Introduction Social Night in St Peter Port
Saturday 4th - Specimen Hunt & Spearfishing Competition
Saturday 4th - Freediving Session
Saturday 4th - Golf
Saturday 4th - Evening Social Meet & BBQ on Herm Island
Sunday 5th - Freediving Session
Sunday 5th - Specimen Hunt & Spearfishing Competition

Rowan and I should already be registered, aren't we? Wouldn't be surprised if the form didn't go through though, our internet has been very shoddy.

HAHA! having a GB plate is like having a Learner driver sticker! most will give you space, be cautious at filters, and generally give you a bit of space and assume you don't know exactly how wide your car is! If you stand and observe two guernsey cars passing each other, if you can get a fag paper between the 2 cars and the walls either side...it's fair game and plenty of room to pass without slowing! :D

Sounds worse than it is folks, just jestin ;) but ammusing to see at first! white knuckle tourists!

I LOVE GUERNSEY!!!:D :wave

Just like driving in Cornwall then during the tourist season then?

LOL, No nothing like it :D When Yeti said L plates, perhaps he should have said 'Targets' :D:D:D:blackeye:crutch

Stephan, how about publishing a list of the people that have registered so that everyone knows if they have or not?

August 04 - Day one specimen competition times....
Registration sign on @ 10.30am - sign out @ 16.00pm Weigh in @ Craigwillan (my house) @ 17.00pm

Mart, is the 10:30 sign in time the same as the get in water time? I've been asked to help with the scarecrow festival and need to juggle times a bit, so just checking...

I though you wanted to be in the water for six hours?

To be honest I have never spent six hours in the sea as I tend to wrinkle around the 3 hour mark!

Mike had an idea about leaving a sheet of paper on someones car but I am very open to suggestions & ideas.
Personally I would rather everybody meets in the car park at 10.30 but they can then get in the water when they wish to?

The perpetual trophy .....

No Mart that wasnt the reason for my question, I am trying to help out elsewhere and also take part, so juggling things about. I really need to help with this other thing. always keen to be in the water :) i will send you a pm. thanks for the call :)

the trophy looks amazing btw :)

So as some of you guys are coming over on the Thursday - what shall we do on Thursday night?
First of all it would help to know who will be here, I think we will have 4-5 from jersey, Stephan & Vicky, me & Sarah, yeti, jonny & anyone else?
Options are - an early bird meal in a top restaurant for about £12 but we would have to be in & out between 6 & 8. (£60 for the same food after 8)
Or we could have a Thai meal at my place for £10 a head & you bring a bottle!
Or open to suggestions ?......

a and b?.....what about puddin? :p

joking aside either is great Mart. Hopefully be in Thursday so will have a hunger ......and hopefully a fish! :D

Hey Mart - don't mind mate. Would like to experience some of the sights and sounds of the island whilst there but am happy to go with the flow.
