And a slow metabolism is good? Eek, I'm out, I'm captain skinny but eat like a spoiled fat kid!
What is important is body mass to O2 storage ratio.
i.e.
Total O2 storage [blood + lungs]
divided by
Body Mass
The higher the number, the greater the capacity for long apnea.
Lowering metabolic rate helps too, but people with a huge lung volume to body mass ratio tend to have good static apnea ability.
How did you measure that?
