Has it calmed down enough for a bit of vis to reappear?
Or is it a matter of bringing down a rod rather than a spear this Sunday?

Me and my buddy planning to dive Chesil Cove tomorrow morning. Does anyone know how the vis is there? Is it worth to dip there in this weather conditions?
Never been to that spot before, so will be thankful for any advice.

hi paddy not sure about the cove mate was pretty rough earlier and stayed like that all day. wouldnt like to say wot the viz would b like.

Nice little dive in the harbour at 5am today - not bad viz, couple of flatties taken. One bass shot at but not taken home, grrr.

Any joy after I left this morning SpearoLee and Nobby?

Great fishing guys, well done!

Just spent the last 2 weeks in & out hospital with some weird virus that no one can diagnose. Hopefully it won't keep me this covered in rashes, joints so swollen and stiff or feeling this knackered for long...arrggghhhhhhh I miss the water!

Its getting better now - just knackered all the time - nothing a bit of time in the water won't sort out. Well if if doesn't kill me it'll make me stronger eh! Still can't believe those fish, great effort!!!!

Got in today for the first time in about 6-8 weeks, I was motivated by Spearo Nobby and his friends great catch!

Went to a favourite little spot in the harbour after a long drive down (bloody diversions)!

Got in (shore dive) just before the high tide, vis was about 2-3m temp 13-14 degrees - definitely getting colder... Anyway had a Mullet about 3-4lbs see me first and shoot off before I could even swing the gun around which I was gutted about as I didn't see another silver fish for two hours.

Searched a few different areas and decided to fight the cold and go in search of the mullet again slowly stalking the kelp, when suddenly a head came into view through about 4 inches of gap in the kelp so I lined-up and let the spear go! - Didn't even know it was a bass until I had pulled it clear of the kelp, it was a good head shot through the gills but didn't stone it dead and it was darting all over the place.

Got the fish under control and dispatched and had to swim back to the shore as I was well and truly tangled with spear line and float line now, not that I minded too much as it was a good end to a pretty mundane dive. Just glad I re-traced my swim to find this beaut. He weighed in at just over 4lb's and it was a good return to the water after too long of an absence!

I don't usually buy the Sport but it was this or fork out for the Times...
