Carbon fins?

Need to buy my christmas present and wanted some new fins, what do you guys think of these?

Stereofins carbon

Don't want to spend any more than that, so the question is cheap carbon fins or expensive plastic?

Nice fin’s Lee, two of my dive mates use them in carbon and one in fiberplastic.
If it was me I’d go for a slightly softer set than hard, unless you’re going to be doing some real depth work, easer to fin on the surface with a softer blade and won’t take it out of you on an average dive session.
Go for it mate.

Hi Paddy, happy new year but, it is a Bass & not a seabass unless you are a tele chef LOL

Ricky, Happy New Year mate.
I hear you’re doing a bit of Pheasant beating just up the road from me, if you’re about pop in the shop as the kettle is always on.

You're absolutely right guys, proper English is what I need They don't teach it at school

Blue shark west bay!!

Just watched the news and they showed a 6ft blue shark washed up alive! first at west bay, then later found dead on hive beach BB.

Crikey.. I've swam with sharks in the comforting max vis of Malaysia, but don't fancy getting too up close in the 'stunted' vis of our waters.. and I'm about to move back home to Christchurch so I can get more Darzet diving in!!

I blame my mother for taking me to see Jaws when I was a very small nipper and then that year we all saw a basking shark very lost going up the Run at Mudeford Quay. You can put the rest together easily.. I only felt safe to go back in the sea a couple of years ago!

I want to dive Portland later this year, but I really am shitting a brick when I read about the makos that happen to show up unannounced. I don't want to lose my new found love of the sea so I'll be giving you all a shout when I'm ready to get in there...

It's those portland race Porbies that you need to watch mate!

But with no recorded (as far as I know) actual UK shark attacks,,,mmm well actually I think there was one great white attack about 100 years ago or so?

It's mr seal that really bothers me!!!!

I know what you mean- the logical side of my brain says 'no problemo' but the phobia packed bit says :naughty

Our local fisherman always talked about GW sightings in the channel and there's a breeding population just down the road in the Bay of Biscay, and we have the food source, and.... well, you see where this is going..

Watched a very interesting documentary on TV last year 'Great White in Great Britain?' very disconcerting, although a fantastic doc!

I reckon my worse UK shark fear would be a Mako; fast, one of the red sea attackers, and a regular for many years in our waters.

But never forget the fact that us spearos have the useful shark deterrent of long pointy sharp metal thinghy to prod the noses of unwelcome nasty's.

ha ha true ! but i know a lad that dives the bill and had some shark bother with him coming up with a stringer of cod and plaice , he decided to prod the shark with his hand spear. not a good idea!!! the shark giv him a few bumps to show him who was boss. ha ha he craped it!!! buble blower he is. it is a true and funny story.
