anyone try 7mm cressi tracina, ifeel the cold alot so im thinking 7mm top 5mm bottoms using 6.5 elios at the moment and the tops knackered,
what size do you all have and what are your sizes ie hight, waist,etc.
also skint at the moment so im just going to get a jacket ill make do with my bottoms for a while.........

7mm jacket and 5mm bottoms awsome combo. I used it last year. I use a picasso 5mm and honestly feel no cold wot so eva. I am 5ft 6/7 and weigh just under sometimes ova 9stone. I think with the water warming up 7mm is overkill if u dive it now wen it get cold again u will b looking for a 9mm if that makes sense. Dont write off cressi tho. They hav brought there newest suits up to picassos spec for even more streatch and sticky as u like = warmer diver. I would save your money and get a new 5mm suit. Then get a 7mm at the end of the season. I dive a 3mm suit in warmer months and last at least 6/7 hours in the water. Gloves at the mo i use othree extreme mits they hav idex finger separate. Hardcore gloves and can stand the cold for hours b4 you feel any cold wot so eva. In summer months i use othre 1.5mm open cell gloves. Hands warm and hav feeling of gun and trigger i will b using picasso gloves this summer tho as they hav a leather type palm so hardcore gloves thin also for those bass spines. For me, they are a necessary evil - it enables me to remain in the water for longer. I'm thinking about trying one of those weight harnesses, to see if that makes things a bit more comfortable, regarding the extra lead.

Jeeez Gaz, I thought you would have had a harness by now knowing the amount of time you have been in the water. For me it s a lot more comfortable spreading the weight over the back & waist. In addition to the spread of weight it also helps with back ache from when I used to get 'back arch' laid on the sea floor when my torso wanted to rise up, maybe I was doing it wrong, but the harness does make a huge difference.

As I said earlier I use 7mm socks in the winter & I have 3mm for the summer, I have to swap my foot pockets around to fit the 7mm. Also 5mm gloves for winter & 3mm for summer.

Vis is still poor east of weymouth i found probably 2m max, try again tomorrow but not hoping for much just good to get into the swing of things again.

I agree about the weight vest thing i used to suffer with a back ache and since taking 4kg off my belt and into the vest it makes things more comfortable and also not arched so much on the bottom for me too.

Tryed my comanche with a dyneema wishbone for the first time today - very quite, i like it very much.

Wicked catch mate and what a Bass

Met up with Lee and Nobby last Thursday evening for a session ended up with 1 lobster, 1 Mullet, and a 16lb 8oz Conger eel.
As you can all imagine this turned out to be a pretty mental wrestle at one point my right arm was completely wrapped in a vice like grip!!!

Chinese style curry with Conger Eel and Okra.

The Conger curry is only suitable for those who do not mind having a mouthful of bones in every bite!!!!

Great chatch Spearo Clark! I had conger hung on my stringer last year and i don't fancy that fish eather... It is only good for fishcakes... but fight must've been rough!!!

Went for another dive with lee last night 4 Mullet and one Bass bass weighed in at 4lb 4oz and the biggest mullet was 5lb 3oz.

Most amount of silvers seen so far this year

LOL...I'm in stitches half drowning watching Alan wrestling a 5ft snake shot in the tail. So felt obligated to help him out. Unwrapped it from Alan, waited for a safe shot then took it direct to the head, once under control we both quickly dispatched it ready for the pot. Nothing went to waste; Alan and his family munched the lot!

Yes mate it was a nental dive last night!!! Tons of silver donkey's about I managed. .....um....a fair few for the pot mixed bag of bass and donkey mullet..... I will post up a pic of some of my catch

I was using a pumpgun last night without a spear tip so many fish about that I decided to stun mine then grab them by hand lol....
