5mm Omer Blackmoon. It's not camo but should be enough to break up my outline and blend into the Purbeck/Kimmeridge shale.

Great buy, I've used the Omer Blackmoon all this year, very comfortable suit

Ok..got bored and decided to go for a swim. Left home at 1am.
Vis was 2m, so not looking promising. Not as many fish about as earlier in the week but still managed a 6.5 lb, 6lb and a 9lb fatty bass along with a few in the smaller 4-5lb range. Lotd of mullet still about to 7lb but left them to play with the smaller bass.
Yet again 'the one that got away' there were actually 3 est 12lb and two at 10lb that I completely missed ; typical as that was the only shit I missed all night.

But not too bad with this result.

Blowing a hoolie out in Poole Bay at the moment. I hope the vis settles down fast after this - we have 3 days of light winds forecast from Monday.

Popped to look at bosscombe pier 6-7pm vis not to good 2m poss may improve on high now .lots of people and fishermen around .light breeze blue sky's flat sea some swell coming in .why is reef closed ?thought it might of held some fish and away from fishermen on pier ? Are there any restrictions there?its nice n hot down this neck of the woods.after the 6.5 hr drive down this morning.see how tomorrow pans out.

Thanks for the vis report. Up to 2m is good down here especially with the high winds we've just had.

Reef is closed for surfers, it doesn't work as it intended (a boat struck it and it's damaged) and the council don't want surfers on it...

If I was down there with my dive gear I would certainly have a look at it... like you say it should be a fish holding feature.. be wary of the tides this week the current can be quite strong.

I've heard from a diver that vis has been good round swanage area with lots of bass seen. Not sure about Portland though sorry.

The sea is like a millpool at Southbourne this morning. People swimming in the sea already (8am) wearing no wetsuits. Have things to do today but may jump in later and report back on the vis.

Popped in briefly at a couple of spots in the sandbanks area, vis was a good couple of meters. Looked really clear by the chain ferry aswell. The vis closed in slightly around 10ish as the tide was on its way out. Managed to get ny self a flatfish.
Drove past Bournemouth on the way to Poole and vis looked Luke it was a couple of meters.

Be very careful at sandbanks as aparently there are old nets found over there. And in swanage area i saw them twice.

Got in at Southbourne from mid afternoon.

Viz was 2+. The wind was blowing quite strong making white caps in places. The winds often blow up like this in the afternoon becoming more settled in the mornings and evenings. I was not as relaxed in these conditions but managed to fin out to the foul ground there and make some deeper dives (saw lots of empty razor fish shells). The wind and tide caused my floating line to get tangled a few times - first time it has happened to me. I don't think I will dive again when it's so blowy.

Didn't see anything worth shooting. Saw lots of bait fish and garfish chasing them.

Got to try out my 5mm new suit which is great - even that felt very warm and its compressed neoprene.

Thinking of going in on bosscombe reef in the next hour if it looks ok.

The tide is coming in stronger now, the wind may drop a bit over the next few hours. If I were fishing Boscombe reef I would get in nearer the pier so you can drift over it.

I've just come back from a mile walk with all my gear because the tide and wind pushed me up quite quickly, east, towards Hengistbury Head.
