Popped down to Worth Matravers today for a little Swim! The sea was flat and the vis looked promising but unfortunately did not quite deliver and ended up with about .5m Vis for a few hours and saw nothing, Fobode Managed to spot a few big Mullets but they were gone too quickly and then the sea stole my snorkel :( Least its an excuse to go buy some more stuff!

I have been spearing for a year now and have all the kit and have caught a few nice sized bass. My deepest dive so far has been to roughly 15m.

I am now looking for a new dive buddy due to my current one deciding to sell his kit to fund his sailing...

Hope to meet some fellow spearo's to allow me to continue diving whilst being safe!

All the best!
Josh
Hi josh
I am a novice in spearing but also looking for a dive buddy.which is finding to be quiet hard.where are you located ?

What are peoples thoughts for this weekend vis-wise around Swanage? I was a regular South Devon diver a while back but been a bit out of the loop so any hints to get me back up to speed would be very much appreciated. Are the Spiders in? Many thanks all

Looks like it's going to rain lots at the weekend, however it's only Tuesday so I'm taking that as 'it's going to be hot as hell'!! Fingers crossed for decent vis. I'm in IoW from Thursday - Tuesday so will be taking my kit.

Anyone around Bournemouth tomorrow morning at all? I've got a few hours off so was thinking of getting in

Has anyone checked out Durlston? Might head there, not a bad bit of reef to dive around even if not too fishy. Will be camping near there so any other recommendations (by PM, naturally!) in the area would be much appreciated

I saw a couple of spiders last Friday when I was diving over the sandy sea bed of Southbourne - not a million miles away from Swanage...

I'll be getting in later this week even if the vis is rubbish.

Thanks, I'll be bringing my gear down and getting in regardless, but it would be nice to have some vis at least, here's to hoping... When is it our turn for tropical 40m+ vis and warm water?!

Si I'm pretty sure I read something in the mirror about 3 months of blistering sunshine, but then again I think they also mentioned something about a winter drought back in october.....
