Not the best photo but protland harbour is morrow like tonight :).

Had a stroll along the pier at Swanage today. The vis looked ok - looked good enough to think that if I had gear with me I would have given the surrounding area a try.

I also walked down to Dancing Ledge... without getting in the water and knowing for sure, it looked a lot clearer than I had expected it to be.

Been to swanage and durlston today and the water is ok from above but nasty bloom underwater!!! Max 1.5m vis!!! :/ no fish seen

So i take it you got in then? I was going to pop down after work in Bristol(I live Poole way). When the RNLI cam works the vis looks ok, but if you are saying the bloom is in then I may give it a miss, although I have had worse vis.

Is anyone keen on heading over to the freediving thing in Poole? I'm going to give it a whirl and wondered if anyone fancies lift sharing. I'm coming from southbourne

Thinking of heading down from Bath with a mate on Monday for the first dip of year. If anyone's diving over the weekend vis reports would be welcomed as bit of a long dive for only 1m vis.
First timed we've dived dorset to so if you've got any general hints re good locations/entry points etc (not your secret holes - would never ask that!) then that would be great to. Cheers

being new to the art of freediving & spearfishing &diving out of west Dorset Andy & me are splashing out on a freedive & spearfishing course http://www.freediveuk.com/booking/products-page/advanced-spearfishing-course/ in June at freediveuk in Newquay . there is place for another sperio & we would like to get to know any other local divers. the date is 2&3rd July. We are camping down there. If there is anyone out there interested if you book directly &contact me maybe we can arrange to meet before.

Hey guys, so this is my first post here and I'm already asking for stuff! Is anyone going out this weekend that wouldn't mind me tagging along? I'm a bit of a noob so I'm not going to be able to bring much to the party, but I'm dying to get in and catch that first fish!

It's my first time spear fishing, I'd be up for going in this weekend if you'd like to try it with a complete noob :L
