Right then chaps so far for the freedive weekend at Vobster I’ve got-

Brett and his brother, one tent
Ricky and his mate (as long as his good lady doesn’t pop), one tent
Chris Reynolds and his mate, one tent
Tim (coops)
Me
And our instructor Bryn, one tent

Have I missed anybody or are there anymore takers?

I'm a possible...won't be able to join the evening love-in as I already have a date!

Will let you know by tomorrow. What time will we finish do you think?

Ben not too sure what time the diving will finish I’m guessing that will be down to Bryn.
But the pub up by the campsite opens at 4.00 so I doubt it’ll be much later than that.rofl:friday:fridayrofl

vis was 7m+ in the Cove this evening, not that Ben or I saw anything worth spearing - just enjoyed the company and the sunset - and of course winding Will up who's stuck in Derby!! ;)

On a side note my boat is being offered for sale its in the for sale section.
Cheers
Joe

Glowworm.... Avitar pic May 2006 - just to show there are fish there this time of year, even if we can't see them in the bloom! - still land locked! Never mind - on the beer watching the footy....:friday

How bad is the bloom inside the harbour at Portland? is it worth a night dive at the moment?

Had a dive in the harbour on Sunday (as that was the only place out of the swell) and the vis went from couldn’t see the end of yer gun to couldn’t see the end of yer gun.:head:head

Hi Dorset spearos. First day off in ages tomorrow and all my usual Devon spots are suffering from Easterly wind attack. Does anyone know what Chesil Cove is looking like at the moment please?

Spidey

Dived the cove on tuesday eve. Viz was superb...6m or so. Everywhere else was pants.

Not sure what it is like at the mo but wind has dropped a little since then.

Still 6m in places yesterday morning with some seriously murky patches as well. Only had one sighting of a bass. Lots of spider crabs around but the big male I considered taking home was wrapped around a female so I decided to leave them to it. :t

Portland Harbour had amazing vis this afternoon, I was spotting interesting items from the surface at 6m!!! Only saw 2 x bass way in the distance and amazing amount of smelt & white bait - sea temp 15-16c luvaly!

Not sure how long this vis will last, strong winds are due tomorrow - so if you can get in tonight - go NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
