Hey Eckaflex, tried listening to your music through that page but it wouldn't stream more than 5 seconds straight, there's a download button but I can't get it to work. Am always open to new kinds of music. Unless it's country music, that's totally shit. :)

Thats strange. It usually streams quite well. Occasionally, if the server gets busy it can jump a bit. Have you got a broadband connection? The download button should be inactive, the tracks can't be downloaded at the moment.....

sorry Eckaflex, gave hiphop a chance many a time.

the shameless self promotion, Arrogance and "money is life" attitudes inherent in most of the lyrics goes agains just about everything I belive in and covers any "artistic" talent that goes into creating that kind of "music". 5mins in a room with Hiphop/rap/etc and I'm ready to hit someone :D

suffered through 2 years in a house with a pair of serious Dj's :D

I see the talent in spinning, but don;t see any in the music itself.

back to my metal & industrial, and mental bliss :D

Thats cool, Amphibious. And I agree to an extent - there is alot of what you've mentioned going on in hiphop. But there is a very different side to it aswell. I'll leave it at that :) . Glad to hear you like metal, I play drums in a metal band called Graine. What bands are you into?

Hey DeepThought,
If it won't work, and you're interested in taking a listen, message me you're email and I'll send you some tracks.

But dont get me Started on music, i used to be a bit of a young Punky Goth
Grew up with Iggy, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Junior, Dead Kennedys, Billy Bragg, Ramones etc and those music roots havnt left, i would still love to use Phill Collins, Billy Joel and U2 as Burley or target practice.
They just go to show you dont need talent to make money.

Each to there own i suppose but if its Mainstream you can shove it straight up your clacker

Crusty

Crusty, now thats what i call Music. Ps. im still to drunk to F***.:friday

Must admit though, don't mind the odd Outkast or Black Eyed Peas, but has to be a special ocasion :D some of the French Hiphop shows some merit, as does Tricky, untill his attitude surfaces. the minute they say "bing" "gat" or "Ni**er" I'm out.

Industrial sticks to the oldschool, NIN, Dream Theater and the like

Metal (while not "true" metal, it doesn;t really suit "rock") : Sevendust, Disturbed, Black Label Society, Metalica (black album and older), Ozzy, Sabbath, Deftones, Tool, SpineShank, Ill Nino, and simmilar artists. Can't get enough of Sevendust, used to a big fan of Rage Against The Machine, but their political Views got in the way of me enjoying the music. Lighter stuff: I Mother Earth, Santana, RHCP, Primus, Pearl Jam, Matt Good,

also a major Slave to the 90's grunge scene, minus Nirvava.

meh, will listen to most things, who am I kidding. been caught at a country bar more then once. Can't get enough of the buckle bunnies :D

Willer, Lots of what you mentioned is going all over the music world, not just hip-hop/rap, it's called main stream and it's main purpose is to sell albums.

I consider Tricky as Trip-hop rather than Hip-hop. :)
Have any of you tried Saul Williams' 'Amethyst Rock Star'? The dude's doing hip-hop, rap, breakbeat, d&b and some rock all mixed together, and his lyrics are like neon-purple smoke spiraling into infinity. (means he gets pretty psychedelic)
Might not fit everyone's taste but the dude ain't about ho's and biatches and blingblings.
