Eyes ZAPPED!

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I was about -6.5 too - has your vision stayed as good as it was at the start? mine is better than 20 20 now, only slight problem is a little weirdness with night haloes but nothing too bothersome!

Night Driving has been the biggest difficulty. the "stars & Halos" that are typical with this surgery. I just take most of my long highway trips late at night when there is less traffic.

I wrinkled one of the flaps, so it didn;t come out perfect, but am still very very satisfied. I lost 2 teeth and a lot of blood in a whitewater kayaking accident after loosing both contacts, after that, it was off to the Lasik guy :D I think eeryone should have it done :D

so far, not loss of vision or degridation.

Your surgery was very recent, so the halos might go away. Mine started to go away, then came back after the touch-ups. They're starting to go away again.

I couldn't say enough good things about this surgery. Glad to hear you liked yours, Sam. :)

Good choice on the op, I had mine done about 2 years ago and it was by far the best money I've ever spent!

For those of you who've had touchups done...were you happy you went in for the touchups? Cause my vision has gone to about 20/30 which I'm totally fine with, but I've been toying with the idea of going in again but I'm not sure if I want to go in for surgery for something that's not really a problem.

The touch-ups were worth it. In my case, all touch-ups after the original surgery are free, so that was a definite perk. There was a pretty big correction, and they played it on the conservative side the first time around. Touch-ups are much easier in some ways. There's already a flap, so they just lift it and do the work. They don't burn off as much tissue and it heals much faster than after the original procedure. It's up to the individual, but in my case, the touch-ups were advantageous. Glad your surgery went so well, desertbake :).
