Astonishing performance!!

Looks like Goran applied Kathryn's Nevatt "lying on the elbow" style

p.s. Goran, was it a no warmup static? or You did some warmup breatholds before??

Thank you amro for these highly interesting videos!

Impressing how different Goran and Branko came up ...
I've observed two quite different approaches:
- slow breathing vs. hyperventilation
- position just below surface + lying flat vs. being upright on the bottom.

Of course there may be lots of other points which made the difference. But I think the two mentioned points are rather important.

I just stumble on this post, so sorry to bring it up from history Thank you all for congratulations you gave me, Amro can confirm I promise him 9min breath hold last year, went shy for couple of seconds do...

I do wormups on dry, don't like no worm up statics, but I kinda started to enjoy this way of doing statics, I adapted my training for this event so my statics are all in this direction for the last 1 year. So I came relative close to my normal static PB on training, doing the on the rope style static. There are some disadvantages of course, but if you think a bit deeper about it there is some advantages also, aseptically for me and my style of diving...

Regarding Branko, I don't think his preparation has anything to do with his only 7min breath hold, he prepares like that all the time and he did some long holds like that obviously...
