A really good spread of nice fish in the competition, but in the end it came down to the two fish that I would most like to have taken home: the red mullet or the pollack.

Sorry Shiny, but that pollack is just too magnificent - it gets my vote.

I do find it interesting that the fish I expected to win has yet to receive a single vote!!

Any body who spear a Thornback Ray would now or a conger, bull huss those fish would give you a fight they are what i call game fish , if you get it wrong you would pay the price ,pollack dont bite back it is a superb fish i do agree ,i always like a challenging fish and that thornback would have been a hand full

I love the FOM and the FOY. I know that I'm biased being involved in its instigation, running and even having an entry or two, but that all aside I look forward every month to the entries and especially the voting.

The popular vote is in my opinion what makes it all so great. It really is different stokes for different folks. What some consider a great catch is to others just a good catch and no more. Most months I have guessed wrongly on the voting pattern. I never thought my plaice would beat a 13lb bass way back in September FOM.

For the FOY I thought it would be between the pollack and the ray, with the 2 flats following on. However I had a sneaky feeling that Clives big lobster would feature somewhere and was cewrtain it would be in the running. Shows what I know  .

I must commend Scott though as the presentation is great and really does justice to the FOY.

Vote on people.

Dave.

ok I've spread my ray of light on the poll...;)

Good luck gents, this is a serious contest.
My fault I've been unable to upload any real thing pics of the prize speargun (having issues with camera software) but it comforts me to see that we have some really splendid fish on the poll this year. Whoever will win, the prizes will be well deserved by the winner.
Just let me know the mail adress to ship the shiny new Omer XXV 82

Judging bu other polls we could reach 60 votes. It's not over yet. Keep voting folks and nudge anyone who you think hasn't done so yet.

So it was you Podge who pushed me from runner up position to third also ran :martial.

Dave.

Unfortunately (for us) if we added our scores together we'd still be second. Still a day to go but I think the days of the flatfish are numbered. All hail the pollack.

Nice sole by the way.

Dave.
