Hi, thank you to everyone that sees this, but I have a question. I am seriously considering taking a course in freediving and I usually use the dolphin kick to swim. Is it better to kick fast to get down quicker or to kick slow so I don't use as much energy and relax better? Again, thank you so much for your time out of your day!

Kicking slow is usually the best, but your individual physiology and technique might dictate faster. Just have to experiment

Best to go slow and kick from the hip, not the knees. A good instructor will show you how to fin properly.

It also depends on the stiffness of the fins. Any diver will use a slower kick with stiff fins
