Went Snorkelling last night with a mate, 2 push bike lights each covered in cling film and tape strapped to goggles, saw A large Sole and 3 Rays in the space of half a hour or so, was first time night snorkelling and will defo do it again!
Hi swimwiththem, Alderney is renowned for it great fishing but I think you are the first guy to report on a night dive!
You can buy some really cheap waterproof LED torches & you can get yourself a basic gun here in Guernsey (in fact I probably have something lurking in my shed).

I don't know why I went snorkelling today, I woke up today and looked out my window, thinking ahh too windy today, I wont bother, but got my speargun from Alderney today and just had to go out and use it, saw nothing, shot nothing, pointless trip, but at the end of the day was in the water, thats all that counts..
The only one I ever saw in the water was very friendly, a little heavy, and very fast.... but sent the hair straight on the back of my neck.:friday

Well Im from Alderney, my parents live there and so does most of the people I know, I am in Guernsey for college studying media (I like Photography) and live here with a host family during term times, then go back home for holidays and half terms... 
Im annoyed about the weather, I dont mind rain at all, its often nice when it rains, just the wind annoys me. Cant wait for the wind to die down and to get some good viz and lots of fish!

On the radio today tom, the orca paid a visit to one of our 10mt fishing boats, swam around the boat twice then under the boat - the whale was longer than the boat!!
