That depends on how deep you can dive?
There are about 150 recorded wrecks around here!
Only very big boats survive very long under water before they break up & spread them selves along the seabed, you can find pieces of wrecked boat all around the island but dont expect to see complete anything after a few years.
You can find parts of a huge engine block & a few flat plates of steel around the La Conchee reef at the Richmond end of Vazon

ah right, just wondering because some freediving we do in alderney is on a wreck, there is a boiler and prop down on a bay, can sometimes see it sticking out of the water at low tide,

if you can get a boat/lift then theres a wreck at chart datum off Boue Aubert / Sambule. Its on wrecksite.eu and apparently intact. Otherwise there is apparenlty one off jerbourg that is still intact and again apparently on off the south coast by les kaines D'aval. There is also one just north of the humps that is intact and photographed by Sue Daly. Apparently (OMD and Toerag) have said its fishless tho, but i think it would make an awesome freedive one day.

If you fancy freediving with boats and and aeroplane then i certainly recommend Vobster Quay

i expect Andy Spirit will be able to give you some more suggestions...

Was going to this afternoon, drove east to go scalloping, looked too murky, so drove west to go bassing, looked murky and a bloke just getting out said it was murky, so I decided it was murky and came home.

Well i went in again today, been in every day/evening for a week now generally in swelly, low vis conditions.

Today i thought the vis was ok, I could see the bottom in 8m water depth when i went round the back of Grosse rock, but the water was cloudy on the way out. On the way out i took a drop on a reef with sandy/gravel bottom around it, i was thinking how it might be good ground for a flattie, when the bass came in. Saw about 10 in a scool.
I had my 'Carbon Strongback Cannon' loaded with both bands to the last fin...
at about 2m i dont think the spear even slowed as it went through and onwards... no recoil on the gun, deadly accurate...
Bass was about 5lbs stoned. 7.2m depth and 1:05min to the shot.

Other than that, it was pretty fishless. I was hoping to bump into a breamy of some sort, but no joy there. huge tide again tho.

Hoping for a kayak trip on Saturday afternoon if anyone wants to join me?
Gonna be epic...
