I'm buying one of the Smartwave AV3500 boats from MICKS, but dont yet have a tow hitch on the car. I just wondered whether any forumite with a tow hitch on the car would be prepared to help me out and tow it to my place?
I would obviously be quite happy to offer fishing trips and/or wine/beer in exchange... :)

btw The water is looking clear if anyone is thinking of a night dive...

Hi all mike and i when for a dive this morning from the shore .I was useing mikes gun so first shot at a bass i missed and a rock (nice one john) second shot missed .All this time mikes seeing lots of fish i didn't .I did shoot a nice dover sole my first flaty ever about the length of my arm .But did i eat it ? or is it in my freezer? No i lost it of the end of the spear all in slow mo .All in all a good day. thanks mike.

Very strong fish them sole - you are not the first one to let one escape!
I never shoot flatfish, if I am hunting over sand then I dont load my gun, I will stab the flatfish through the head & place my hand under the fish before swimming up.

Had a nice dive on the West coast yesterday. (OK, I cheated a bit.)

The visibility was amazing, some cloudier patched were down to 4 or 5 metres near the surface, but was like gin near the 10 maximum depth. A good number of flatfish around, including some nice blonde rays. The wind is meant to change soon so could be back to normal tomorrow.

Hi all,

Three of us did another daytime dive shore yesterday on JSY west coast. Conditions were good, flat calm and moderate cross winds, with vis around 15feet but up to 20feet. Could have done with some sunshine. Between us we saw a some shoals of schoolies, some white bream, and some reasonable pollack. I spent a long time looking for turbot, but only found small marks. Catch was selective, but we ended up with a good feed between us which included a bass, some nice pollack and a white bream for JKS (about same size a Jonny's). MSW forecast suggests that conditions deteriorating again for at least next week +. Just going down to look over cliffs on SW to see if there will be any vis for potential night dive tonight (wld be my first of 2012)

Good going Mike & co!
Was it going to be a very long night dive, over a couple of months maybe :)
I went in last night, vis was ok but cloudy. very few fish seen, altho i did see lots of skate, largest one was longer than my 90 + spear, so about 120cm. Unfortunately they were all 'winged' and covered in hermit crabs. Quite spooky swimming through a fish graveyard :(
