Jonny you were right, the fish were just elsewhere looking for different food.
Interesting dive this evening, when I got in I sat in 2ft of water, put the fins on, did my mask etc then cocked my gun and just as I finished clicking the wishbone into place a bass swam into range and boom! I was still sat on my backside when I shot it, hadn't swum an inch, how's that for efficiency! Did another 20 min, bagged a nice mullet then got out and drove down to rocquaine to kayak and re bait the pots

Finally a great night to go back into the water...., decided id hunt the shallows after my last bit of fun, what an evening. Saw a few rockies but saw a massive bass go past me but just out of range (would have been an interesting fight had I hit him). Then came across a 4lb Mullet which just wanted to be shot at.

I bought the Banks board last year, not sure how many version's there are but mine was the latest one last year, I think he has just recently brought a new design out
Depends what your after as its not the lightest at around 5kg, but its a good solid float in the water and useful for jumping on if you get tired
Video below showing old model. As a tow I did the same as Jonny had done and used PVC tube with a float about 5 meters, keeps it off me at all times and no tangles. I connect tubing to the gun as it has my Gopro on and its handy to dump if needed.
Went for hot mango colour
If I was a bit of a dab hand with DIY I might have made my own float like a lot of people do....but im not so had to buy something.

well done Matt. it was a nice evening.
I had 4 hours in the water, lots of small bass seen, but i just didn't feel like pulling the trigger...
the waters gone all snotty with the plankton bloom
You've eaten so much bass recently Jonny you must be getting fed up with the taste of it, still better to leave those small bass to get bigger.
Couldn't believe the stonker of a bass I saw last night, soon one of them is going to be in range and fall into my path, we saw each other at the same time and he powered away.
check the manual matt, there may be a 'narrow' setting on a lower resolution - thats what i've changed to. less frames/sec but less in the picture too.
i just ordered one of the new banks boards, couldnt be efforted to make my own in the end!
looks like tomorrow is the day for getting in the water - the weekend will be blown out
next week looks good, but i'll be in southampton at the boat show!!!
