i'm saving myself for a weekend of spearfishing - forcast is looking very good indeed 
The Romans used to feed them to slaves & then drink their pee to get high without getting poisoned to death! Most of the slaves would survive the first 'force feeding' but not the second!
Various historic 'War Mongers' use Fly agaric to some extent to bolster there forces or die without care!

Went out today, vis was great. Tons of mullet around, missed a few and caught a couple, one was around 4lb but had a battle on my hands with him and lost his head in the dispatch...
Saw a couple of nice bass go past chasing a load of bait fish, just as I was reloading.
Saw some massive rockies, there was a gully that had the biggest one Ive ever seen, wasn't sure if it was an eel coming out to start with its head was so big

Cheers Foxfish, got a load going on for the next few weeks so unlikely to get in the water until November, will there be many fish around then?
I know its been rough but whats happened ,last post 5 wks ago . You still getting wet jonny. The speccy hunt (shore) has just finished with some spectacular fish caught. Not a single sole weighed in the three rounds which was peculiar given the worm bait fishing that would of been done. Hope all is well....

personally, i havent been out for a very long time - done lots of running instead and trying to get 3 hours a day playing my mandolin [looking to play in a band...]!
it seems like the weather has been rubbish anyway...? but we did have an amazing summer so cant complain.
i think we need the Jersey boys to liven things up here - they seem a lot more keen, but i think they use facebook instead.

Well for me I've been in 3 times this year. First time scalloping I fecked me ear. A month or two later to test them out they were still futu, ditto a month or two later, and the weathers been shite since then so I'm going to leave it till next year let them heal properly.
Honestly can't remember a spell of winds lighter than force 3 for more than 2 days in the last month or two so doubt I'd have been in recently anyway. Totally written off night diving season!
Bought some lovely C4 fins in the spring as well, used them once...
