Went out in the evening last night (as the footie wasn't going to be worth a watch), vis was OK in some area's but plenty of bloom in others, saw plenty of rockies but not a bass or mullet in sight. Saw the carcass of a large lobby with one arm taped up and that was as exciting as it got....

Got in very early before work on Thursday and the vis was the best I have seen this year. Bass for tea which made the early start worth while.

Nice fish Little Sarge, Another dip, bit more fishy today, saw a couple of decent bass but too far away, missed a stonker of a mullet in the shallows, missed another mullet.....I think my aim is rusty...great to see some fish around anyhow.

Water was lovely and clear today. 2 bass shot but I made the mistake of forgetting my gloves so only one came home. 64cm so happy with that.

Cheers. Yeah shot through the lower belly and just as I carefully went to take hold it flapped like mad and you know how sharp they are. Moved my hands away and it tore away it's lower belly! Shame as the fish will die anyways. On the second one I used my head abit and held it tight between my thighs. Can't wait till my banksboard arrives so things are made abit easier carrying kit and swimming with catch etc...

Finally found some fish! Tried a new spot last night, crap tide, crap time, new spot,and saw probably the best part of 50 bass, 2 of which were I suspect double figures. One was charcoal black, the only reason it didn't get shot was it took me too long to work out what the hell
Kind a fish it was as all I could see at the time was a
Big black head.
Ended up with a nice bass for tea but no monsters, good to see they are there.

Great to see the bass have shown up and that the vis is good. Also great to hear a couple of doubles have been seen! This is very good news and inspirational for the "fish in". Also fab to see that there are a few more Gnsy divers this year ! How many Gnsy divers are taking part in the DB "fish in"? Are you guys going to be able to muster a team ?

I went in this afternoon but didnt last long after taking a gobfull of jelly fish tentacles wrapped around my snorkel mouthpiece - Yeeeouch!!!

Hi all,

Thought I'd share this nice fish caught today. Equals our local Club Apnea record, currently held by Jersey Mike. Plaice 2.525Kg or 5lbs 9ozs. I'm made up. Also two smaller plaice and a good sole. Looking forward hugely to the Deeper Blue 2014 members meet.
