Thinking about getting a rob Allen 90 or 100 as my next gun ....does anyone think they are over priced or worththe money ? Any advice would be great

Hi Jacob, I have a rob Allen carbon 90 zulu railgun but haven't taken a shot yet on it, got a carbon as managed to get tennis elbow last season, double wrap on it, im away this weekend but if you want to take a look next week no problem, sure we can meet up at some point, BTW you bought my banks board

Sounds good I'll give you a message on Facebook

Jacob, I have one Omar Kevlar 90 & a Carbon Imersion Triaxx 90 both in VGC but no spear or bands?

Cheers mate thanks for looking but i managed to get hold of new bands and wishbone for my beauchat ..the spear has seen better days but it will do until I buy something new

I never quite got to bottom of understating the bass restriction but whatever they are or are not, there seems to be plenty of bass being speared!

I know there has been confusion over this issue as we are not officially part of the European union but the last time I asked our sea fisheries, via their Facebook page, they said we were going along with the ban... anyway I have asked again...

Good luck getting a straight answer. Seems to me like they know there is no legal basis for it over here, from the shore at least, but have tried to bullshit it anyway, and for the most part they have got away with it. There simply is no law that could be used for a prosecution in our courts. And while we're talking about Sea Fisheries, anyone heard anything about the "consultation" they did? Must have been more than a year ago now and nothing whatsoever has come from it.

Anyway, if anyone is thinking of diving herm I wouldn't bother anytime soon, took the kayak over, round the south, up to the humps then back across and viz looked rubbish all round. Was some fish though, had a couple of bass to 4lbs (rod) and loads of puffins!

I honestly cannot believe they have put that on the Internet for all to see! What complete f*cking bell ends. I've made my comment on it, if more do the same maybe they'll reconsider?

I have also made a comment and would encourages others to do the same, perhaps we can convert these guys to a more sensible attitude.

They keep deleting my comments, but I'll keep reposting it until I get blocked or something,

Good bit of diving the last 2 weekends, 5 hours last weekend followed by another 5 this weekend, not much seen on the bass front until today, was in around 4 meters of water and a bass just came out the kelp and took me by surprise, by the time I moved by gun he'd flicked his tail and was off, gutted as a 5lb + fish lost, took a hopeful shot but no good. Yesterday was out with Kerin and he'll be updating this thread shortly im sure. Saw a bass in the distance but that was about it for me. Last weekend was out and saw no bass at all, so decided to dive down and go through the kelp stalks, found a 4.5lb spider wedged between some rocks so had him and another 3lb'r, so great bowl of crab provided some excellent eating, but going to be thinking all week about the bass that got away, or as my Mrs says "another tale of the one that got away......."
