While I have a few peoples attention...... If we have a competition next year, would you prefer a spring tide or a neap tide?

A few guys asked me to set a date as soon as possible so they can get a better deal on accommodation, so the more input we can get the sooner I can set a date :)

I have to consider the low tide times as well as the size, low tide at 3pm means the comp would not finish until 5 or 6pm & that makes things a bit anti social for the evenings.
Low tide at mid day is ideal in that respect but spring tides tend to be later...
I would rather have input from you guys than make all the decision.... I will study the tides & offer a few options.

Hi Mart, had a quick look at Gnsy 2018 tides...looks like only two August weekends offer low tides around mid day ish...the big spring tides on 12th or slightly smaller spring tides on 26th...I prefer moderate springs but I will dive anything

I agree Mike 0.7 is huge especially if there is a bit of wind or swell!
