Someone suggested adding photo evidence of ormers & congers! I actually though that was a interesting idea, perhaps we can discuss this for next year or something along those lines?

I think that's a good idea

Forgot to add before is there teams this year ? Can't remember if there was last year or not

I have always left it to you guys to sort out teams but we only have two UK entrants this year, perhaps you can decide on Friday night.

The wind if forecast to pick up from Wednesday to Friday, so I have taken tomorrow off work in order to catch some scallops. On boat duty this evening so couldn't get in myself.

Apart from the horrendous forecast for tomorrow, the weekend looks OK ish!
We have sun but also nasty SW - W wind. The East coast will be flat but we will have to see how the West & North West looks on the actual day. Very similar to last year......

We have just been looking at our food quantity list from 2015 for the Sunday evening.
2 x tequila 24 large rocquettes 30 x Stella 24 bots of French beer 12 x red 12 x white wine + what every one else contributed.....
Tomato's 2 x bags 7 x French sticks 2 x large bowls coleslaw ( salad not eaten but 2 x large bowls)
8 X bass 11 x mullet 2 x Pollock + numerous other fish + 140 scallops.

What are the rest of you having?

Sorry, only 102 scallops this year, all live in a store bag. Will have to think about marinades for those who want them.

I have had a few people asking where the comp will be held but, due to the weather, I don't want to call that until the night before.
Everywhere has white water showing today! The best places look to be the North East coast, even our normal East coast venue looks a bit blown out.
The islands at Bordeaux look nice but I worry about the tide for the less experienced divers. That is a possibility though, pretty safe an hour either side of dead low but, once the channel fills in, I don't really want people out there for safety reasons!

The forecast is improving, Sunday should be good if they are right. Saturday not too bad, but viz might be pants after the recent blow and all of the fresh water.

Yes mate, 7pm tonight, meet in the slaughterhouse just for drinks and a chat.
Diving on sat morning 9 am check in comp starts 10am finishes at 3pm
Saturday evening, dinner booked at the Octopus for 7:00pm. Sunday morning, same times for the competition. Sunday evening, prize giving and eat our catch at my place. 6:00pm till 10:30pm
