hand made wooden gun

It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Yeah malta, actually i was bit surprised when i saw those little groupers next to big AJ, dentex and huge grouper. I just couldn't understand the point why you wanted to shoot them if your catches (AJ & big grouper) are so big and quality.. I got it now..

BTW for your friend, it can be forgive to shoot few undersize fish when you are beginner but he can't do that for the rest of life... I think best way to stop hi to shoot small groupers is, show him a one huge grouper and let him to shoot it and bring his home with satisfaction. That will work...

Weight belt issue, yes i am bit thin at the waist thats why i can not put the weights... Your custom weights looks good, but its too much hassle to find someone to make you custom work. I will try to find 2kg blocks... BTW this bicycle and lead concept is very creative....

I like the bibycle inner tyre idea too :D

how did you design your weight mould? I'll do that either, tell us about mold.. .material? tools?

to make the lead weights you need to make the form out of sheet metal or lime stone. i used timestore because it is very easy to sculpture. first i carved the shape of the weight into limestone as a mould then i use a peice of metal flatbar. and put it across where the waitbelt has to go through then i melt led pelets in a melting pot and pour it into the mould .be carfull because liquid lead is very unstable when being heated pops and fizez when boiling so fe carefull last thig i would want is someone getting burned with molten lead. ill make a diagram of the mould

I think I get what you are saying. Thanks for the tip ;)

new gun is progressing fast ill have pictures of it soon.i hope this baby shoots as good as it looks. in my imagination that is .guns progressing but very time consuming maiting for resin to try and allthat crap. ill have pics of the unfinnished gun soon

PIC OF GUN SO FAR

PROVING TO BE MORE CHALLENGING THAN I THOUGHT TO MAKE

HOPEFULLY I WILL BE FINISHED SOON IM STILL WAITING FOR THE BANDS TO ARRIVE IM USING DEMKA 6.5 MM SHAFT WITH SLIPTIP AND A TOTEMSUB TRIGGER MECH.IF I WHERE TO DO THIS AGAIN I WOULDENT ITS NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE WHEN YOU CAN GET A TOTEMSUB TAHITI FOR 270 EUROS.BUT WHAT THE HELL NOW THAT I STARTED IT I MIGHT AS WELL FINISH THE GUN .BUT MY ADVICE TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO MAKE THEIR OWN GUN IS ITS NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE MATE.

it looks really nice. Whats your job? wood scrapper? ;)

nice job malta, please post more pictures as your design evolves.

I just wanted to tell you have some good skills.

Try this for the more strongly flavored fish:
Combine 1 Tbs soy sauce, 1 Tbs sesame oil and 2-3 Tbs honey. Pour the mixture over the fish and bake until flakey. Simple and most satisfactory!

Nice work Malta :D

As Memo said, " You have some good skills!!!"

Hey oldsarge, thanks for the tip :rofl

Couldn't got the realtion oldsarge:confused: :duh :head

Back a page or so, Malta told how he like to cook grouper. I don't know how they taste but if they're anything like our local rockfish, just butter and a little garlic isn't quite enough for me. I like this one.

i figure out the problem for a trigger mech.i was going to bye a totem sub trigger but i didnt i copyed it and made my own.was hard to make but was well worth it cause id costed next to nothing to make and is strong as hell.
