Hi again guys, i know this maybe cutting it fine but i have now got a confirmation that those dates are free for me and my buddy. We are desperate to get over .

I am gunna try and get it all sorted tomorrow, but i need some help from you all if possible. Which area of Gurnsey should I be aiming for? Plus is it easy enough to get to it from the airport? Costs of flights have been covered and reserved. However i need to sort accomodation in the next 2 days or so while i have some time on my hands. I read that your all in the North of Gurnsey, but which hotels/ B&Bs should i look at?

We are in a serious dilemma over transport though. We can drive perfectly well... however all of the car hire companys have rejected our applications due to a minimum age of drivers being 21 . No real biggy to be honest, we can use the money we would have spent on the car, on a taxi to the accomodation from the airport and back again. However we will need to stay in a place that is reasonably close to some decent dive spots if we are going to be car-less. Obviously as i havent visited the island since i was a toddler, i have no idea about where things are in Gurnsey , so i really need some help from you locals regarding cheap accomodation near dive spots and not forgetting the evening socialisation between the Deeperblue crew .

Great to hear that you've got the dates sorted—exciting times ahead! For Guernsey, I’d recommend aiming for the St. Peter Port area if you want to be close to some of the best dive spots and the social scene. It’s the main town and has a good selection of B&Bs and hotels, so you’ll find something within your budget.

Regarding transport, since the car hire didn’t work out, taxis are definitely a reliable option. Guernsey is pretty compact, so getting around without a car shouldn’t be too difficult. For dive spots, the south coast has some fantastic locations, and if you’re staying near St. Peter Port, you’ll be close enough to the action.

For accommodation, you might want to check out places like La Piette Hotel or The Duke of Normandie—both are central and offer decent prices. They’ll also put you within walking distance of the town’s amenities, restaurants, and, of course, some good dive spots.
