Hypoxic Training : target 80 m DYN

I have been accustomed up to now to hypercapnic training, i.e. with short recuperation (the time rec is more or less of the same order of magnitude as the apnea time) ; hypercapnic training is adapted to 16 X 50 m...

Now I would like a typical training procedure dedicated towards reaching 80 m in dynamic apnea with fins...

1. general warm-up... swimming + kickboarding with fins + fin swimming...?

2. apnea warm-up : 8 X 25 m ? adequte recup ?

3. pyramid towards 80 m... progression ? 40 m - 60 m - 80 m+ ? how much recuperation ?

If you are doing 16 x 50m on intervals that have the same time for rest as apnea then I can't see any reason that you would not be able to 80m as a one off max effort already. I'm not sure that hypoxic training is really what you need to concentrate on as I'm fairly sure that if you hook yourself up to an oximeter you will find that you o2 levels are still quite high and it is CO2 tolerance that is limiting you.

Good luck with the effort....out of interest what is your current PB for dynamic? how many contractios? when do they start?
