I hate "sea bass"

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 90 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.

Tis done. The original Bass & Mullet link was a problem because it had 28 images & the site only allows 10 now, so it would not permit edits - which is why it wasn't fixed previously. However, I have now reduced the number of images & converted some to links.

BTW Saw a report today of a spotted bass being caught off the UK, thought to be the first in 50 years (also striped bass off Holland :)). Anybody come across stone bass (a.k.a. "wreck fish"?).

Wreckfish are actually quite common here, there used to be a lot caught during the Tuna season. But since they stopped using monofilament nets they don't get as many. Wreckfish have a pelagic phase where they hang around objects in the water such as seaweed, floats, and other floating detritus.
