Merry Christmas guys.
I've been doing a lot of lurking this year, and not a hell of a lot of spearing. Its been great to read reports and general chit chat over the past year.
The goal of a turbot never materialised, but did manage to open up some new coastline. Anyway, hope to see more of you guys on the forum this year, and possibly get out to a bar-b-q or two.

Well lads hope ye all had a blast. Only time I was in the water was yesterday for the christmas day splash, wind is still howling up here and still a bit of swell pushing in so will be another while. Was hoping to get a surf in this week as well. Hope ye all have a great 2012.

Just about to pop out to pick some mussels for a paella later on tonight, will use some scallops I dove, and some crabs I caught, and might even use my final bass fillet i've been saving up....

I was on a beach in west cork yesterday and picked up a nearly new prawn pot and buoy Anyone got some advice on how or where to set these bad boys? I'm thinking of just clipping it on to my lobster pots and ploping it down in the same place? I presume winter is grand for them... although I think autumn is best.

Ya sept is best but u should pick up a few. Try by the railway bridge near my place......
