I was out in Doolin on Saturday, water was amazing !!! viz about 15m + temp 13 C . Lodz of fish , but unfortunately forgot my fins , silly me !!! we went to swim with a dolphin . so did't got a chance do any spearing , but see biggest wrasse around 6-5lb , it was huge !!! lodz of spiders .

15 to 18 meters, can't specify, I was out from the Tomb Rock in an area without seeweed so, probably a bit more than 15m. Nothing untill 12 meters, except for wrasse, once again tons of them...!
In Galway was around 13/14oC, but better was that in the bottom, the water temperature was more less the same, maybe 1oC less, not less.

I will be around Cahersiveen the 14° July for 3 weeks with a boat at the marina and i know some spot from last year around here: I come from France with a RIB (5 meter et 50HP suzuki). If someone interested, don't hesitate to post a message. I will also made rod fishing with my son around Valentia, and try some beer at the pubs (Fertha, BonanBui...)

I went looking for calm water in the lea of the Seven Heads this afternoon. I swam out to the end of a point, picking up a mullet on the way. I got a pollack of 4.4lbs just inside the tip on the northern side. I could see nothing big so I swam round to the Southern side. The southwest swell, wind against tide, made for some interesting surge through the broken ground. Very bracing but still only small to medium pollack so I swam back.
The pollack was just under four and a half and the mullet just under three pounds.

hi sorry to jump in uninvited! im in mayo to,castlebar-westport. any time you planing to head out and want some company would be good to get out with a few spearo's. im new enough to the sport as well. if i ant working im always up for heading to the water!!!

Yea were gonna explore up that side of Mayo next few weeks or so...was out in westport during the week, went down through leenane to clifden and into roundstone... had a friend over from the states so didnt have my gear but defo gonna head that way soon... will give you a shout when we do...your welcome to join us anytime if you want...Im about 40 mins from castlebar/westport so you could drive down and leave the car at mine, we usually go down the clare coast...dunno when were out next but will give you a shout when im goin...

Just moved back from south east asia,was doing a bit of spearing out there,wanna get a heads up on decent websites and types of wetsuit to buy for here,thinking 5mm with longjohn jacket type,also whats the consensus on camo versus black suit?
Also looking for keen spearo's to hook up with over the summer months,getting to north clare,west galway,north mayo is easy for me.
