That's so so good I've dreamed of swimming in surf with a dolphin all my life and only got near once .what a fantastic experience show us some more please!Put some on YouTube.

I need to edit it up. Been diving all weekend and just home now from Portroe. Ill stick up the link here when I have it done.
Best experience in irish waters in a long time. Pity bout the weather though.

Well lads,
great to see everyone so eager to get in the water, vis in connemara seems excellent from the surface but thats as close as i'll be getting until this weather starts to give us some heat.
Haven't posted on this since i joined last year but i've been following it and just wanted to say thanks for all the tips and advice ye share. done a lot of snorkelling last summer but still haven't bought a gun as i'm a broke student but if any of ye have any old second hand guns i'd be happy to give ye a few pound so i can get training!

Check out the Goods for sale here on DB, there's a few for sale at the moment for reasonable asking money Goods For Sale - DeeperBlue.com Forums ...postage from the UK will cost €20-€25.

If you are on a really tight budget you could go for a polespear, they start at around €9 and then get more expensive for the real fancy ones. I seen one here Spearfishing-Shop - Spearfishing und Freediving - Imersion Polespear for €9 but the postage is €19.

Wrong choice? Best dive I've had in years!! Amazing to dive with such a friendly dolphin!

Ahhhhh...I got it wrong... I thought that "saw nothing except dusty" was from start to finish but afterall we had that fantastic experience in the middle....swimming with the dolphin should be a must :) Did it appear to you suddently or you saw him approaching?

I was in with her. From the videos I've seen she injured some moron who jumped on her. I think some people think she is there for their entertainment. She was very calm but started biting my fins after 30 mins so I got out and sat with her for a while.

Doolin yesterday. Viz 1m temp 8c. Saw nothing except dusty. View attachment 35801

She looks friendly to me. Didn't the Eagles do a song called Doolin Dolphin?..wait a minute... it was Doolin Daltonroflroflrofl

On a change of note, it's nearly the end of March. Why have none of you lads had a bass yet? I've been hunting (nearly said dogging) all winter but it looks like I better get back in the water soon.:t

I don't blame her for attacking in that case, if someone jumped on my back I'm sure I would get upset, suppose some people don't realise she's a completely wild animal.

Sunfish- when you say your hunting is that with a dog or gun? thought about getting a gun myself but the cost of the safe and alarm installation put me off.
I used to do abit of lamping years back in the UK with my old dog, not to sure the misses would let me use the Beagle I have now though.
