Wanted Looking for Wooden Speargun to Restore

My grandfather has been a carpenter for over 60 years and we have talked about always working on a speargun together since this combines my love for spearfishing and his love of woodworking. While it is easy for me to find older spearguns in Southern California (where I go to school) we are both currently based in Arizona, where it is harder to find older spearguns to restore. I am normally very busy during the school year and unable to work on projects like these, especially with my grandfather outside of summer. I am hoping to work on this project with him this summer since we are located so close, but have called most of the dive shops out here and they do not know where to direct me. I was wondering if anyone may know where I could get a wooden speargun. The size doesn't really matter and the make or model is of no concern to us. We were just hoping to work on something together. We have tried FB Marketplace, Ebay, Craigslist, and several other sites, but have not had much luck, mainly because of the geographical location. If anyone has any advice or insight, we would greatly appreciate any help.
