Going to have to be Chillie peppers for me,
although Ive got a few cds in my car at the moment I've been meaning to get rid of for a while- Pink, elton John, Peter Gabriel,lily allen to name a few which are not I repeat not mine ( DaveL I swear the pinks not mine ) I cant even remember how they landed up in my car .....honest..

Good call Mundial. You got the blues? I guess in these economic times a lot of people have. BB's "Live at the Regal" album is pretty awesome. Love the 3-Kings, BB, Freddie & Albert. Most of the rock & blues I love incorporate elements of their playing. Must look out some youtube clips.

The Pogues certainly have authentic appeal. Put me in mind of some other great artists:

Well there's quite a variety of tastes i like the Christy moor and used to be a pogues fan too.
Here's a couple of my fave's - although 'driving music' in Guernsey is a bit funny as journeys aren't ever that long:

Interesting selection Jonny. A former colleague & good friend in the USA was a heavy/hair metal lead guitarist as a student but lately into Christian rock/pop music (and he's even older than me!). He was really into it, had a recording studio at his house. He was a seriously good musician. Unlike here, Christian music is quite a big market in the US.
Not as big as country though. I must admit, I have a bit an aversion to country music. Something to do with the super-clean, twangy guitars & the yodel singing. Each to their own. I can't help liking some of it though and have visited Nashville and once drove past Dollywood on my way to the Smokie mountains! I do like a little banjo (Deliverance!) and harmonica though.
