"new" Lunocet...

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Personnally, I think someone (not me, LOL) will do a 300 meter DYN with this device at some point. Stay tuned.

300 DYN will happen sooner or later but as result of break thru in training methods or energy supply (nutrition) rather than monofin technology. Wanna bet?:)

Obviously project Lunocet is not dead and looks better every time

the new fin looks very nice, but so did the older ones. it will be interesting to see if it will talk the talk but also swim the swim...
when is this updated version meant to be available ?

No idea.
I want to see it a/b'd against a good hyperfin by a good hyperfinner.

It's headed in the right direction, that's for sure. My feedback about the previous version was along these lines. Needed to be set back further from the feet and have less of a dead spot at the top/bottom of the stroke. Higher aspect ratio could achieve this.

On the subject of an official 300m dive (above) - it won't need to be the result of any breakthroughs. Just the constant improvement freedivers seem to get from long-term training. More of the same, in other words.

If it compares well with a hyperfin it'll be a go.
For our market that is the gold standard.

I wonder why Ted is no longer active on the forum as he once was. I'm also surprised the Lunocet website has fallen a bit to the side regarding updates and new info.
Maybe all this will start to pick up again if the new design proves worthy.

It's got a long way to go before it's on par with a hyperfin, but you never know.

 Anyone know if there is some hardware in existence to go along with the nice graphic design picture?

I'm going to bite on one in the next week or so. Talked to Ted today. He has an excellent vision regarding hydro touring - essentially being able to cover lots of water in a very efficient manner. He quoted a lower price and short lead time. Very nice to chat with. Anyone gotten one recently?
