hello friends,

Thanks, That would fit in very well in my local kelp beds when I stalk
the big White Sea Bass this spring. I'm beginning to feel a pull from The Dark Side.
Thanks for the post mate.
Cheers, Don Paul

About time mate - Dark side rules the world!
There is something special about firing a low recoil airgun that makes you feel like a role playing special forces sniper.

Oh I've been there before. Mares Titian, Mares Sten 140, but I really want to
change my local hunting style with some Italian tech.:friday
Cheers, Don

I feel the same pull, blame this airbalete, I just have bad memories about dealing with that dam pump and too many breakages. Somewhat resamble a 2 stroke motorcicle, fun to drive but break too much.

Well I have a 110 Omer Airbalaet on the way, can't wait to try something I
didn't have to build. This gun will get me more up close and personal with the
fish I take. I'm looking forward to shooting it stock before I go on a quest for
more power. I plan on mounting it in a turkey rotisserie and laying on a nice epoxie camo paint job.
Cheers, Don Paul

Great news & talk of mods before it even arrives - a man of my own heart rofl

the Mamba is basically a modification kit you can install to any air gun or buy one already kitted of course, the whole idea behind it is that it keeps water out of the barrel, thus no resisitance against a water column and a very powerful shot that doesnt get weaker with depth like regular airguns.... you could get a 6m effective range on a mambatized 100 -115 cm airgun, which is a much loner range then a comparable length band gun for instance..the mambas/airguns have the advantage of being more powerful and more more maneuverable, but some of them do require a lot of care though so thats why some people like them more then others

Can the mamba kit be applied to any gun?

Hi Jean, I dont think there is a mamba kit available but there are similar kits that can be fitted.
Most people seem satisfied with the guns performance in its standard form.

I'm trying to find a shop that has an airbalete in stock, seems like they arent coming out the factory at the moment! Does anyone know of any european distributors with them in stock?
i tried subprof who show them in stock online, but i'd prefer to call a shop and check - subprof dont answer!

Jonny, isn't Apnea. co. uk in Jersey the UK dealer for Omer? A phone order with them might be your best option.

I could give a shedload of italian stores phone numbers, but it would be pure comedy to try to understand each other on the phone in english.

(italians don't speak english. Either I don't speak english: I read english, I write in english, but I don't understand what you say when talking live voice. Pardon...?).

As you may have inferred from my earlier comments in this thread (although aesthetically pleasing to the eye), I do not consider this gun as technically advanced.

If you wish to buy online at a - relatively - fair price and from people that speak decent English you will find what you are looking for here chasse-sous-marine.net

(various options: airbalate with/without reel, standard/camo painting)

Cheers, ulysses
