I do not think that this case has anything to do with ego. Quite oppositely, I find Tom being very pragmatic when doing his O2 Guinness stunts on diverse TV channels. He is now visiting all US states, and will then go to China to make another stunt in the light of the coming Olympic Games. I think Tom is a wise man and knows that the skills he has will not last forever, so he tries to get some money out of it. If he really had problems with an over-sized ego, he would rather run after new records each time he loses one, but he apparently prefers being practical and trying to get some money on his account so that he does not need to bother too much about his future once his freediving career is over.

Well, to tell you the truth...breathing pure O2, and sitting in a tank for 15 minutes on the Regis and Kelly show doesn't really interest me too much.
Hmm, then I do not understand why you posted about it here. You asked about it, but when we give you the information you asked for, you tell us you do not want to read it. Well, I did not expect any thanks, but this type of answer is not exactly what people usually tell when they receive something they requested. This thread is about normal static apnea (with pure air), not about O2 apnea - it was you who came in with the information about the O2 record, and that was the reason I pointed you to the proper thread where it was discussed.
