Hey SeaMarc, It seems an interesting concept, but if your mate wants to really make money, I would think it would be a very niche market he needs to sell into. I think traditional band guns are simple - the roller gun will always be more complicated with more moving parts, and lot harder track through the water as less sleek. Inventors rarely access public opinion (so you are doing the right thing) and think what they have done is always the best - they have after all spent years on their project, however its the market (and the right marketing influences) that decides if its going to become a commercial reality. I think 93% of patents are never commercialized, so there are a lot of inventors out there that couldn't bring their product to the market or it was just not marketing (but interesting/fascinating), but the patent lawyers are very happy. I'm actually a pneumatic fan so maybe a shouldn't comment, good luck buddy!

Thanks for bringing this thread back on track Cammo - in a bazaar way I think Marcs concept will be more appealing to airgun fans than band gun users?
How is the prototype going Marc, any real life pics?

Hello Cammo and Foxfish,
You suggest some interesting questions.
I am doing everything I can to get as much feedback as possible on the Seamaxx Gun.
It is a fascinating challenge. The new prototype in the making will be much refined compared to the one you can see on the site. If you read the "our story" you will understand that this product is the result of "love" and "passion" (very strong motivations). The background philosophy is to make the best gun for everyone. The gun is a tool that does not replace the talent and experience of the user: it can only help by making use easier and eliminating possible accidents (there are far too many).
Seamaxx is far superior to any pneumatic gun.
If you register in the "contact" menu you will be informed automatically as soon as the gun is available.
Good fishing to you both, regards, Marc

You will have to decide that for yourself one day.

Just realised you are in Guernesey..... I am presently reading "the workers of the sea" by Victor Hugo. It makes me really want to go and see both those islands. Maybe.

Hey Foxfish,

I'm still wondering why you think this sort of gun would appeal to pneumatic owners? (I know you are a fan)
I think pneumatic guys are ones that aren't really interested in any sort of rubber gun? (though ALWAYS good to keep your options open!) I personally see band gun issues as - bands start deteriorating straight from the factory, rubber breaking, wishbones breaking, never seem to have as much grunt, more tangling, more things handing off your gun, etc...I do believe band guns have certain advantages as well and I have a woodie that I use as a spare (think I've used in 3 times in my life?!).

SeaMarc - I think the romantic way everything was written on the website was great, if it was my website however (this is mine Schaffer Loaders - Articulated Loaders - Front End Loaders - Telescopic Articulated Loaders - articulated forklifts) I would get up pictures etc and fill in all the missing content ASAP - it doesn't look good when a website is up and a lot of sections are missing (that reminds me, I think a lot of my vidoes are down:head). SeaMarc I wish your mate the best, but I think he is travelling down a very, very difficult path. :friday
I'd love to have a go of one though!

Hi Cammo,
You are right about the website, but one has to start somewhere....

Looked at your Schaffer site. Good, but if the German makers want to make the products look a bit more "sexy", i'm an industrial designer and would gladly give them a hand. Ha!

Register in the "contact" menu you will be informed automatically as soon as the gun is available.

Well is was a generalisation not a direct comment - because I notice that air gun users are more open minded & more acceptable to technolabagle advances.

Hello everyone,
I had some wierd sort of cookie problems with this site and have not been able to sign in for several months. Finally had the patience to sort it out.
Sorry If I didn't answer the last posts, but can do so now if you want.
The second prototype od Seamaxx in under way and it will be much finer than the first.
Best regards to all

Nice to have you back Marc - cant wait to see the new prototype.

have you thought to give it to the navy to try and break, that could possibly be an opening in the future
