it's not the families, but rather the fact that it is a State Park. You can go guerilla but I don't condone that type of stuff *hehehe*. I heard it is real FISHY there, but again, I don't suggest even trying it there. Just remember that I only hunt to eat so if you are looking to gain target practice, then you might want to find another sport. Fish grow slowly in the ocean and once they are gone, chances are that the next big one is not gonna come real soon. It is better to be smart than destructive...hunt with professionalism and you will gain knowledge well beyond your experience level.
well luckily, as i said before, i have been rod/reel fishing almost all my life.. so ive gained a great respect for the sport of fishing in general. i too am a firm believer in only catch to eat, and i realize in this sport that "catch and release" is not an option, thus i will only be shooting to kill and eat the fish.. hence the halibut AV i found haha. i would only be shooting regulation-sized fish, also. likely corbina, halibut, bass, etc.
and yeah i wouldnt hunt crystal cove in that case, much too risky and im sure the fines would be hefty.. besides, why risk it when you can just go a few minutes south to laguna and probably find similar conditions?
