I just moved to newport from Wisconsin and really wanted to get into free diving and spearfishing. Was wondering if anyone in the area could show me the ropes. Thanks

John,

Look up BATRAY, I believe this member is closer to the area you are looking to dive. Up in the Nor Cal area.

Good luck

Joel

Anyone else have Tuesdays or Wednesdays free? I'm dive buddy less at the moment. I've been trying my hand at Free Diving to make up for it, but would still like to get some tank dives in too.

I'm in Costa Mesa, usually frequent the Laguna dive sites.

hey jared if you can go on weekends ill go but i cant during the week i have school and work. let me know if you want to go out on weekends.

Thanks for the reply but I'm working all day on the weekends..

I actually don't mind, I like the smaller crowds during the week :)

Im taking a beginner out tomorrow am to see if i can get him a halibut or two. But next week ill be back living @ huntington beach so i can go out every morning if anyone wants to join me.

Yesterday off the shores of laguna it was 68.4 degrees on the surface and 64 degrees as you pass the thermocline @ 32 feet deep.

wow i have been mia from this site for a long time and wanted to know if there is anyone out there that still dives around laguna and cdm. i have been getting an urge to go out and dive recently but need to buy a suit first. let me know if you know of anywhere that makes custom suits. im 6'5 and 175lbs. so its hard to find a suit that fits. anyways im glad to be back and im trianing my hold time again. so if you want to go out soon let me know i might be in the area.
